Job Description
Job Overview The Human Resources Representative supports the daily HR needs of employees, supervisors, and managers within a fast paced warehouse environment. This position is responsible for providing dependable HR support throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee relations support, HRIS administration, attendance and performance documentation, employee communications, and general HR operations. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, detail-oriented, and able to balance initiative with sound judgment. This role requires someone who takes ownership of assigned responsibilities, follows established processes from beginning to end, and recognizes when additional guidance, approval, or escalation is necessary. Because Human Resources handles sensitive employee and company information, professionalism, confidentiality, accuracy, communication, and consistent follow-through are essential to success in this position. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesEmployee Relations & HR Support Serve as an accessible HR resource for employees, supervisors, and managers. Respond to general questions regarding company policies, attendance, timekeeping, payroll, benefits, and HR procedures. Assist HR leadership with employee relations matters, workplace concerns, attendance issues, and performance-related documentation. Prepare and process performance discussions, corrective actions, and other employee documentation as assigned. Maintain appropriate communication with HR leadership regarding employee concerns, requests, and ongoing matters. Recognize sensitive, unusual, or unfamiliar situations and seek guidance from the appropriate HR team member before taking action. Apply company policies and HR procedures consistently and professionally. Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling employee information. Onboarding & Employee Administration Coordinate and conduct new hire onboarding and orientation. Prepare, review, and maintain new hire documentation. Assist with completion and tracking of required employment documents. Coordinate onboarding schedules with supervisors and department leadership. Provide new employees with information regarding company policies, procedures, timekeeping, HR systems, and workplace expectations. Maintain employee records and ensure HRIS information is accurate and current. Assist with employee status changes, transfers, terminations, and other employee lifecycle processes. Ensure assigned HR processes are completed accurately from beginning to end. Recruiting Support Create and maintain job postings across approved recruiting platforms. Review applications and conduct initial candidate screenings. Coordinate interviews with candidates and hiring managers. Maintain timely and professional communication with applicants throughout the hiring process. Assist with preparation of job offers and pre-employment requirements. Support background checks, employment verification, and other pre-employment processes. Participate in job fairs, hiring events, walk-in interviews, and other recruiting initiatives as needed. HRIS, Timekeeping & Records Maintain accurate employee information within the company's HRIS. Assist employees and managers with general HRIS questions. Review employee schedules, timekeeping information, attendance records, and related documentation as assigned. Process authorized employee changes and verify that information has been properly submitted and saved. Maintain accurate and confidential electronic and physical employee records. Identify discrepancies and obtain clarification before making changes when information appears incomplete or inconsistent. Benefits & Payroll Support Provide employees with general information and direct questions to the appropriate HR or benefits resource when necessary. Assist with benefits and payroll administration as assigned and authorized. Help employees navigate available HR resources and systems. Maintain appropriate confidentiality when working with payroll, benefits, and employee information. Obtain appropriate authorization before requesting access to systems, communicating with external vendors, or making changes involving employee information. Communication & Employee Engagement Prepare professional employee announcements, HR communications, newsletters, flyers, presentations, and training materials. Support employee recognition and engagement initiatives. Assist with company events and employee activities. Maintain professional communication with employees, managers, vendors, and HR leadership. Ensure appropriate individuals are included in HR-related communications. Provide timely updates regarding completed assignments, outstanding items, delays, and matters requiring additional follow-up. HR Projects & Process Improvement Support HR projects and company-wide initiatives. Assist with creating and updating HR procedures, checklists, forms, training materials, and other resources. Identify opportunities to improve HR workflows, organization, communication, and employee experience. Recommend practical solutions while following established approval processes. Assist HR leadership with additional projects and responsibilities as business needs change.
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or GED. Minimum of two years of experience in Human Resources, employee relations, recruiting, HR administration, or a related role. Experience with HRIS or employee management systems. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately. Ability to follow established procedures and complete processes from beginning to end. Sound judgment and the ability to recognize when guidance or approval is required. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.Preferred:
Associate's or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. PHR, SHRM-CP, or other HR certification. Experience supporting employees in manufacturing, warehouse, production, fulfillment, or a similar environment. Experience with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, attendance administration, and performance documentation. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Successful candidates should demonstrate: Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Professional written and verbal communication. Work Environment This position works in an office environment as well as throughout manufacturing, production, warehouse, and fulfillment areas. Regular interaction with employees, supervisors, managers, and company leadership is required. The position requires flexibility and the ability to adjust priorities based on operational and employee needs.
