full-time The Commercial Deposit Account Onboarding Specialist is responsible for the accurate and compliant onboarding of commercial, municipal, and nonprofit deposit relationships. This role ensures timely account setup, complete documentation, regulatory compliance, and a high-quality onboarding experience for clients and internal partners. Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end onboarding of commercial deposit accounts (DDA, MMDA, savings).
- Review account documentation for accuracy, completeness, and policy compliance.
- Partner with Commercial Relationship Managers and Treasury Management on account and service setup.
- Ensure all electronic payments are moved in an expeditious and accurate manner from previous institution to Heritage.
- Cross sell additional products including HSA accounts, merchant processing, credit cards, and treasury products.
- Conducts daily operation in accordance with the laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and expectations of the Bank. Compliance will be recognized as part of the period performance review; noncompliance may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education & Experience :
- 3+ Years' experience in Deposit Operations, Commercial Banking Support, or Treasury Services.
- Working knowledge of commercial account documentation and ownership structures.
- Strong understanding of BSA/AML, CDD, Beneficial Ownership, and OFAC requirements.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple onboarding requests.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with banking systems and CRM tools (e.
g., Salesforce) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience supporting commercial or public funds customers is preferred.
- Familiarity with core banking and digital treasury platforms is preferred.
- Compliance-related training or certification (e.
g., CAMS, AAP) is preferred.
