Job Description

Absence Management Coordinator Job Summary We have a contract opportunity with our client in Columbus for an Absence Management Coordinator. The Absence Management Coordinator provides administrative and case management support for employee absence and disability programs. This position is responsible for initiating and documenting absence cases, communicating with employees, maintaining confidential records, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the Integrated Disability Recovery Center. Entry Level Key Responsibilities of the Absence Management Coordinator Initiate and process absence management cases using established workflows and integrated disability management procedures. Review and classify absence requests for further handling by Integrated Disability Specialists. Communicate with employees by phone and email to gather additional information regarding absence and leave requests. Prepare clear and accurate case notes documenting activities, communications, and updates in accordance with established procedures and applicable regulations. Provide initial troubleshooting assistance to employees experiencing difficulty entering absence requests into the absence management system. Create absence management cases on behalf of employees or supervisors when necessary. Monitor and respond to messages received through departmental voicemail and shared email inboxes. Manage incoming and outgoing hard-copy mail, including case-related communications prepared by Integrated Disability Specialists. Process vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and membership dues through Accounts Payable systems. Maintain confidential employee records and personally identifiable information (PII) with a high level of discretion and accuracy. Provide general administrative support to the Integrated Disability Recovery Center as needed. Qualifications of the Absence Management Coordinator Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Industrial Management, Healthcare Administration, Psychology, or a related field; equivalent education and/or relevant experience may also be considered. No prior professional experience required. Experience or familiarity with medical terminology, case management, Human Resources, benefits, leave administration, or disability management is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with employees and individuals at all levels of an organization. Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems, programs, and databases. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage work accurately and efficiently. Strong attention to detail, particularly when documenting case information and maintaining employee records. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately. Conflict resolution and customer service skills are highly desirable.
Pay:
From $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
