Full-Time Job Description:
Do you like helping others fulfill their dreams? We are looking for someone who can help people develop a path to achieve their career dreams and begin taking steps to make them come true. Our employment specialists are a key component of our workforce development program, the cornerstone of Goodwill mission services. Employment specialists provide a variety of services including helping individuals develop a resume, seek and apply for jobs, prep for job interviews, and seek solutions to barriers to employment such as transportation. Employment specialists also work closely with our Job Coaching team for individuals who may need on-the-job training and supports. The job is Full-Time (40 hours a week) with pay commensurate to experience starting no lower than $16.00 an hour. Paychecks are deposited weekly. We serve individuals from 8 counties: Athens, Fayette, Hocking, Jackson, Pickaway, Pike, Ross, and Vinton. All staff are eligible to participate in our 403(b) plan and full-time employees receive paid time off and are eligible for several benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance. Our ideal candidate is patient and has a knack for effectively interacting with people from a variety of backgrounds and ages, especially those with disabilities.
Key qualifications include:
Self-starter who can work independently and as a team player Outgoing personality Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing Computer skills Driver's license and clean driving record Ability to pass a criminal background check and not appear on any government registries that track abusers or other such offenses
