Responsibilities of the position include the following: Function as a strategic business partner/consultant to proactively assist customers in meeting their business objectives through effective management of Human Resources Responsible for quickly assessing and responding to customer needs Ensure the equitable and consistent application of the GDLS policies and practices and Collective Bargaining Agreements Interpret policies and procedures and provide policy guidance in a consistent manner to managers and employees Manage, assist with and administer processes for Short Term Disability, FMLA, pay adjustments, uniforms, various reports, pre-employment contingencies, HRIS data entry, and other duties/tasks as required
Position Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or another related field at a minimum of 1 year relevant experience in a Human Resource role Must be able to obtain unescorted access to the facility through the vetting process as administered by the Department of Army Police Demonstrated proficiency in communication skills (written, verbal, computer) required Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a teaming environment with unionized workforce to support customer and manufacturing requirements Must be able to work independently or with minimum oversight to address responsibilities Must have good time management skills Experience with unionized workforce preferred
