We provide carbon and graphite solutions for Aerospace, EDM, Fuel cell and Semiconductor markets. Tokai Carbon GS has earned a reputation for leading the industry in precision manufacturing.
Essential Functions:
Recruit and screen job applicants to fill entry-level, professional and technical job openings. Conduct background checks, pre-employment drug screening and process new hire paperwork in accordance with company policies and procedures. Maintenance of employee files, records and statistics in accordance with the laws, regulations and company policy. Maintains a high level of confidentiality at all times. Must be able to communicate effectively with employees, customers and vendors by any means necessary to assure understanding and accurate transfer of information. Assists with employee benefit programs, training programs and personnel development programs. Process Weekly and Bi-Weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Maintain and update payroll system data including pay rates, compensation adjustments, deductions, paid leave, address changes, and employment status updates. Assist with the administration of recreational activities and other programs aimed at maintaining employee interest, participation, and morale. Consults and coordinates with Human Resources Director in matters involving overall employee relations policies and practices. Must be able to multi-task and work successfully in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to safety. Maintain up-to-date knowledge and compliance on state and federal laws, implements policies appropriately including wage and hour, Affirmative Action, OSHA, Workers' Compensation and Risk Management, FMLA, COBRA and 401k. Interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards or regulations to employees. Respond to state requests for garnishment and employee information. Performs other related duties as assigned. Work and effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors. Ability to comply with Tokai Carbon GS standards of operations. Strong knowledge of Human Resources (HR) best practices and regulations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience conducting new hire orientations Customer service-oriented mindset Ability to effectively handle employee relations issues Compensation Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to the candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 annually. We pride ourselves on treating our employees like family.
