Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking a Bilingual HR Generalist to manage day-to-day HR operations including onboarding, payroll (Paychex), benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, and HR programs . This role partners closely with leadership and managers to support employees and ensure efficient, compliant HR processes.
Key Responsibilities Employee Lifecycle Management:
Handle hiring and terminations, complete onboarding paperwork (offer letters, HR documents, non-compete/NDA), and maintain accurate employee files.
Staffing & Agency Coordination:
Partner with warehouse managers to manage temporary staffing agencies and support workforce needs. Benefits Administration (Health & Supplemental): Manage health insurance and Sun Life supplemental benefits including enrollments, coverage changes, annual open enrollment, census reporting, and employee support (cards, claims, inquiries). Payroll & HRIS (Paychex): Process and maintain payroll-related updates including direct deposits, tax/address changes, garnishments, 401(k) deductions/loans, and benefit deductions. Review timecards prior to payroll (PTO, reimbursements, discrepancies) and coordinate with supervisors and Paychex support.
Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with employment laws, maintain required postings, assist with audits, manage Workers' Compensation claims, and respond to external agency requests.
HR Operations & Administration:
Track PTO, publish holiday schedules, support compensation planning (bonuses, raises), and provide employee support as a key HR resource.
Leadership Support & Communication:
Meet monthly with managers to address HR needs, attend weekly leadership meetings, and support employee relations.
HR Projects & Process Improvement:
Update employee handbook, implement Paychex onboarding tools, establish performance reviews, build training programs, and develop safety programs with insurance partners. Qualifications Bilingual (English/Spanish preferred) Experience in HR Generalist / Human Resources roles Strong knowledge of Paychex, benefits administration, and HR compliance Experience with employee relations, onboarding, and HRIS systems Strong organizational and communication skills #1706-1
