Job Description

JOB GOAL
The Human Resources Generalist provides support in all aspects of human resource management within the school district. This position ensures compliance with employment laws and district policies, facilitates hiring and onboarding processes, and serves as a resource for staff regarding HR-related matters.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1.
Manage job postings, candidate screenings, and interview scheduling. 2. Assist in onboarding new hires, including processing clearances, certifications, and required documentation. 3. Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations (e.g., Act 168, Act 34, Act 151, FBI Clearances). 4. Track employee certifications, clearances, and training requirements. 5. Support payroll processing by verifying time and attendance data. 6. Assist employees with benefit enrollment, changes, and inquiries. 7. Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions related to policies, procedures, and benefits. 8. Support resolution of employee conflicts and concerns in coordination with the HR Manager/Director. 9. Ensure adherence to district policies and procedures. 10. Assist in reviewing and updating job descriptions and employee handbooks. 11. Coordinate training sessions and workshops for staff development. 12. Maintain records of completed training and certifications. 13. Assist in coordinating leave requests, including FMLA and other accommodations. 14.
