Employee Relations Senior Coordinator Best Buy - 3.8 Minneapolis, MN Job Details Part-time | Full-time $27.30 - $42.32 an hour 2 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Employee discount Qualifications Report preparation Writing skills De-escalation techniques Research Cross-functional collaboration Cross-functional communication Full Job Description The Employee Relations Sr. Coordinator will be responsible for the accurate and efficient intake and triage of all Employee Relations and Emergency Hotline cases. The Sr. Coordinator clearly captures detailed notes, triages cases based on severity, and completes thorough research. Additionally , the Sr. Coordinator will provide First Call Resolution of Employee Relations cases and Critical Incidents, offer recommendations for leaders seeking guidance on minor Policy and Conduct violations, and provide direction to leaders and partners in response to emergencies and Critical Incidents (including Workplace Violence, Burglaries, Facilities Emergencies, and Data Privacy Incidents) . This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work on site Monday through Thursday at the Best Buy corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota. You can work virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location on Friday. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process. What You'll Do Case Intake and Leader Support Gathers relevant information and generates cases from various sources, including phone calls, web forms, emails, Open & Honest submissions, and other inputs from Best Buy employees, leaders, HR partners, and requestors. Accurately and concisely documents all pertinent details. Conducts comprehensive research on cases to support an efficient investigation process. Assesses incoming reports, determines their severity, and assigns cases to the appropriate teams. Provides clarification to leaders regarding Corrective Action procedures for minor violations and responds to employee questions about SOPs and policies. First Call Resolution and Leadership Notifications Handles First Call Resolution cases including attendance terminations, theft with admission terminations, introductory period terminations and others as assigned by thoroughly reviewing employee Corrective Action files and investigation materials as applicable, applying Corrective Action Guidelines, and mitigating risk by reviewing ServiceNow and the active litigation report Sends escalation notifications per the Crisis Escalations SOP to appropriate parties throughout the company to ensure timely handling of critical situations. Other Tasks and Administrative Support Develops, updates, and maintains work instructions to ensure team compliance, accuracy, and consistency. Monitors department Teams chat and responds promptly to real-time support requests from caseworkers and other partners related to new and existing cases Processes employee terminations accurately in the Workday database. Composes and distributes termination notification emails to relevant leaders. Calculates and submits final pay for terminated employees in accordance with state regulations. Conducts additional research as requested by caseworkers, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
