Job DescriptionSTAR Physical Therapy is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and forward-thinking individual to join our team as a Full-Time HR Coordinator supporting our Franklin, TN Business Office. We are looking for someone who not only thrives in administrative and coordination functions, but also has the desire to grow and develop within the Human Resources field.
This is a hybrid position that offers the ability to work remotely at least two days per week, with in-person work at our Franklin Business Office required for team meetings, new hire orientations, and other business needs as determined by the organization. The specific hybrid schedule and in-office expectations will be discussed during the interview process. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a shared office environment and collaborating with team members in person.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, process-driven, and able to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment while also bringing a visionary mindset — someone who can identify opportunities for improvement, collaborate with the HR team on solutions, and assist with implementing more efficient processes and workflows.

The HR Coordinator will play a key role in supporting recruitment, onboarding, compliance, employee data management, and overall HR operations while partnering closely with hiring managers, candidates, leadership, and cross-functional departments throughout the organization.
Administrative & HR Operations SupportProvide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the HR department to ensure efficient day-to-day operationsReview, compile, organize, and maintain confidential employee and new hire documentation and digital personnel filesMaintain a high level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail across all HR processes and documentationSupport HR process improvement initiatives and assist with implementing workflow efficiencies and organizational improvementsRecruitment & Candidate CoordinationAssist with recruitment and onboarding activities, including initiating background checks, monitoring onboarding progress, and ensuring timely completion of required documentationTrack candidate and new hire status within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), HRIS platforms, and internal tracking spreadsheetsMaintain and regularly update onboarding and recruiting spreadsheets that serve as operational dashboards to track candidates and new hires throughout various stages of the hiring and onboarding processProactively follow up with candidates, new hires, hiring managers, and internal departments to ensure timely communication and completion of required stepsSupport hiring managers and business operations with onboarding coordination for clinic and corporate positionsCompliance & Process ExecutionVerify I-9 documentation and maintain accurate records in compliance with federal regulations and company policiesFollow established HR processes, workflows, and compliance procedures with a high degree of consistency and accountabilityHandle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretionAssist with employee status changes, personnel updates, and termination documentation while ensuring accuracy and complianceCollaboration & CommunicationServe as a professional point of contact for candidates, employees, hiring managers, senior leadership, and cross-functional departmentsMaintain a professional demeanor and strong customer-service mindset in all interactionsCollaborate effectively with various departments to support HR initiatives and operational needsCommunicate clearly, professionally, and timely across multiple levels of the organizationOther DutiesPerform additional HR-related duties and special projects assigned to support the overall success and effectiveness of the HR department and organizationQualificationsAssociate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.2+ years of experience in Human Resources coordination, administration, shared services, corporate support, or a related environment preferred.
Previous experience working within a corporate office, shared services environment, or Human Resources department strongly preferred.
Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, and Google Workspace tools required.
Workday experience strongly preferred, with candidates expected to demonstrate their level of proficiency and describe their experience using Workday in an HR environment.
Experience with SharePoint or similar collaboration/document management systems strongly preferred.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage and maintain spreadsheets and tracking tools with timely and accurate updates.
Ability to follow established procedures and detailed processes due to HR compliance and regulatory requirements.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and follow-up skills.
Ability to identify opportunities for improvement, recommend solutions, and collaborate on implementation.
Professional demeanor with the ability to interact effectively with candidates, employees, leadership, and cross-functional teams.
