Knoxville, TN Position Type:
Hybrid (onsite + remote flexibility)
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday, 2-4 days per week
Compensation:
$62,000
  • 70,000 annualized (fulltime equivalent).
Actual pay is based on hours worked per week, typically 16-32 hours (2-4 days).
Position Overview:
We're looking for a Human Resources Generalist who is retired or seeking part-time work and still enjoys supporting people, teams, and organizational success. This flexible, low-pressure role offers the opportunity to stay active in HR, apply your experience, lead recruiting efforts, support employees across the employment lifecycle, and contribute to a strong workplace culture while maintaining a balanced schedule. What You'll Do Lead recruiting activities: job postings, sourcing, screening, and interview coordination Partner with hiring manager to understand staffing needs and streamline hiring processes Manage onboarding to ensure a positive, organized, and welcoming firstday experience Coordinate training and development initiatives that support employee growth Assist employees with HR inquiries related to benefits, compensation, and leaves Maintain accurate and confidential employee records Support performance management cycles and organize quarterly/annual reviews Track HR metrics (timetohire, turnover, etc.) to strengthen recruiting and retention Help develop and update HR policies that support a positive, compliant workplace Promote employee engagement through issue resolution, perks, and teambuilding activities Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws Utilize HCM systems (iSolved preferred) for recruiting, recordkeeping, and HR administration What You Bring Proven HR Generalist experience with strong recruiting/talent acquisition skills Solid understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws Strong communication and relationshipbuilding abilities Proficiency in MS Office; experience with HCM systems (iSolved preferred) A practical, solutionsfocused mindset Ability to collaborate across departments Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred HR certifications or additional training are a plus
