Job Description

HRIS Coordinator New York City, NY | Contract | Hybrid (On-site Monday Thursday, Remote Friday) Join a leading global independent investment banking advisory firm as an HRIS Coordinator supporting the Human Capital team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional with hands-on experience in Workday who is looking to build a career in HR technology, people operations, and systems support. In this role, you ll help maintain and improve the company s HR systems, ensuring employee data is accurate, secure, and up to date. You ll work closely with teams across onboarding, payroll, benefits, mobility, and HR business partners, giving you broad exposure to the full employee lifecycle and the operational side of Human Resources. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and eager to grow their skills in HR systems and process improvement. What You ll Do Maintain and update employee records in Workday with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality. Manage incoming HR support requests through the ticketing system, resolving routine inquiries and escalating complex issues as needed. Provide Tier 1 support to employees and HR teams for Workday and HR-related questions. Assist with Workday enhancement projects, including gathering requirements, documenting processes, and performing testing. Support the HRIS team s project planning, change management, presentations, and audit activities. Update user guides, process documentation, and training materials. Help monitor data integrity and ensure compliance with internal policies and audit requirements. Partner with cross-functional HR teams to support operational excellence. What We re Looking For Bachelor s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 1 3 years of experience in HR, HRIS, People Operations, or a related administrative role. Working knowledge of Workday is required. Experience with ticketing or case management systems; familiarity with ServiceNow is a plus. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Acrobat Pro. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. High level of integrity and professionalism.
