Job Description

The Human Resources Specialist supports day‑to‑day HR operations while partnering closely with HR leadership to ensure a positive and compliant employee experience. This role focuses on HR administration, onboarding, employee records, recruiting support, and employee relations. The ideal candidate is organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable serving as a frontline HR resource. Key Responsibilities HR Administration & Compliance Support HR leadership with daily HR operations and employee inquiries Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in HRIS and personnel files Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations Prepare and distribute HR reports and documentation Hiring, Onboarding & Offboarding Assist with recruiting activities including candidate prescreening, interview coordination, and pre‑employment checks Coordinate onboarding and new‑hire orientation Create and maintain new employee files and documentation Support employee separation and termination procedures as needed Employee Support & Coordination Educate employees on HR policies, procedures, and benefits Support performance management processes Partner with payroll, benefits, and other departments Coordinate HR meetings, trainings, and company events Assist with special HR projects and initiatives Qualifications Associate degree in Business Administration or related field (HR focus preferred) 2+ years of experience in an HR coordinator, HR assistant, or administrative role Experience with HRIS and ATS systems (Paycom preferred) HR certifications (SHRM‑CP, PHR) are a plus Why Work With Our Client Our client is a locally owned, mission‑driven health plan headquartered in Sunrise, Florida, serving Medicaid, Florida Healthy Kids, and self‑insured populations across the state. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sunrise, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
