Job Description About the Role Riverside Feeders, a multi-entity cattle-feeding operation in eastern Oregon, is hiring an HR & Compliance professional to own the people and regulatory backbone of the company. Reporting directly to the Owner, you'll be the single point of accountability for human resources, benefits, workers' compensation, insurance compliance, fleet/DOT compliance, and the company safety program — and you'll carry the accounts payable and receivable lane for our trucking division. This is a deadline-driven seat with real ownership: quarterly filings, payroll cycles, insurance reporting, and renewals all run through this position. Key Responsibilities Employee onboarding and offboarding, I-9 compliance, personnel files, and policy administration (Employee Handbook, PTO, Housing Agreements, Work From Home, Return to Work) Benefits administration: enrollment, changes, annual renewal, and broker coordination Workers' compensation across Oregon (SAIF) and Washington State — claims end-to-end, return-to-work, OSHA records Insurance compliance for equipment, livestock, and hay: coverage accuracy, monthly reporting, certificates, and renewals Fleet/DOT compliance: driver qualification files, log review, registrations and permits, IFTA and Oregon weight/mile reporting, fuel reconciliation Accounts payable and receivable for the trucking division: freight billing, hauler and vendor invoices, QuickBooks entry, receivable follow-up Payroll input preparation across all entities, handed to the CFO/Controller for processing Safety program oversight across all locations, including supervision of the site-level safety coordinator Qualifications Preferably 2+ years in human resources, benefits administration, or comparable people-operations work Experience with workers' compensation and health insurance plan administration (SAIF and/or Washington L&I a plus) Familiarity with DOT driver-file requirements, IFTA, and state weight/mile reporting — or the ability to learn quickly from documented procedures Comfort with AP/AR cycles and QuickBooks entry Experience with commercial insurance reporting and renewals a plus Exceptional organization, deadline discipline, and complete discretion with confidential information Occasional evening or weekend availability for personnel matters, emergencies, or payroll deadlines falling on non-business days Compensation & Benefits $26.00-$37.00 per hour, depending on experience.
