Job Description

Human Resources Generalist Position Summary Sageview Consulting is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to provide comprehensive HR support to Sageview and its client organizations. This role combines hands-on HR operations with employee benefits administration and serves as an important resource for employees, managers, and client contacts throughout the employee lifecycle. The HR Generalist will support and independently manage responsibilities related to onboarding and offboarding, HRIS administration, employee records, recruitment coordination, benefits enrollment and reconciliation, employee inquiries, compliance, and other day-to-day HR activities. The position will also play a key role in administering employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, flexible spending, health savings, supplemental, and retirement benefits. The ideal candidate is highly organized, service-oriented, comfortable working across multiple organizations, and capable of independently managing detailed HR processes while recognizing when matters should be escalated to senior HR leadership. Essential Duties and Responsibilities HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle Coordinate and support employee onboarding and offboarding processes from start to finish. Prepare offer letters, employment documentation, onboarding materials, and employee correspondence. Coordinate new hire requirements, including background screening, HRIS setup, benefits enrollment, and other pre-employment activities. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and personnel files. Process employee changes, including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, transfers, and other personnel actions. Assist with employment verification, unemployment claims, and other employee documentation. Respond to routine employee and manager HR questions and escalate more complex employee relations matters as appropriate. Support HR audits and ensure required documentation is complete and maintained appropriately. Benefits Administration Administer employee benefit enrollments, changes, qualifying life events, and terminations. Support administration of medical, dental, vision, life, disability, flexible spending, health savings, supplemental, and retirement benefit programs. Ensure accurate carrier eligibility information, premium calculations, payroll deductions, and retirement contributions. Conduct and review monthly benefit reconciliations and work with carriers, brokers, payroll, and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies. Support annual Open Enrollment planning, employee communication, enrollment processing, and follow-up. Respond to employee benefit questions and provide timely, accurate, and service-oriented assistance. Maintain accurate benefit records, documentation, plan information, and employee communications. Support and maintain employee self-service benefit enrollment systems and portals. Coordinate with client benefit administrators and provide training and guidance to promote consistent processes. Support benefits compliance requirements and required notices and documentation. HRIS & Data Administration Enter, maintain, and audit employee information within HRIS and payroll systems. Process employee demographic, compensation, benefit, and employment status changes accurately and timely. Monitor data integrity and identify and correct discrepancies. Generate routine reports and assist with HR data requests. Partner with payroll and benefits contacts to ensure employee deductions and benefit elections are accurately reflected. Assist with HRIS implementation, system updates, testing, and process improvements as needed. Recruitment & Onboarding Support Support recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate communication, interview scheduling, and applicant tracking. Coordinate pre-employment requirements and new hire documentation. Partner with hiring managers and HR leadership to ensure a positive and organized candidate and new-hire experience. Assist with new employee orientation and onboarding activities. Monitor onboarding tasks to ensure all required steps are completed timely. Employee & Client Support Serve as a responsive HR resource for employees and assigned client contacts. Provide guidance regarding routine HR policies, procedures, benefits, and processes. Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when handling employee information. Build positive working relationships across multiple client organizations. Identify recurring questions or process challenges and recommend opportunities to improve HR operations. Partner with other members of the Sageview team on client needs and projects. Compliance & HR Projects Support compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment and benefits requirements. Assist with I-9 administration, personnel file audits, benefits audits, and other compliance initiatives. Maintain required HR and benefits documentation. Assist with handbook, policy, form, and process updates. Participate in special HR projects and process improvement initiatives. Perform other HR-related responsibilities as business and client needs evolve. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered. 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience , including hands-on experience with employee benefits administration. Experience administering employee benefit enrollments, changes, terminations, and Open Enrollment. Experience working within HRIS, payroll, and/or benefits enrollment systems. Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with employee and benefits data. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong customer-service orientation and ability to work effectively with employees at all organizational levels. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise appropriate judgment when handling sensitive employee information. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within an HR team. Preferred Qualifications Experience with ADP Workforce Now Experience supporting multiple organizations, locations, or client groups. Knowledge of employee benefit regulations and retirement plan administration. Experience conducting benefit reconciliations and resolving carrier or payroll discrepancies. SHRM-CP, PHR, CEBS, or other HR/benefits certification. Experience in a consulting, nonprofit, education, healthcare, or professional services environment. Work Environment & Schedule This is a remote position with periodic local travel of less than 5% to Sageview and client locations. Flexibility may be required during annual Open Enrollment periods and other time-sensitive HR initiatives. This position is an individual contributor and does not have direct supervisory responsibilities working with the HR team at Sageview Consulting. Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
