Job Description

QorTek's Human Resource Generalist posotion is a hybrid onsite role supporting both Linden and State College, PA locations. As a rapidly expanding small-business government contractor, QorTek develops power electronic systems, world-class piezoceramic materials, and acoustic device technology solutions—from concept feasibility and advanced engineering through product manufacturing. Our team advances emerging technologies for vital applications in an environment where employees can do meaningful work, take on varied responsibilities, and make a visible impact. We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to lead day-to-day HR operations and help shape a dynamic, innovative employee experience. Position Overview This position contributes to maintaining and shaping a fast-growing emerging technology environment, and you will serve as a trusted, approachable resource to employees and management while keeping QorTek's HR operations accurate, responsive, and compliant. The role spans recruiting, onboarding, training, benefits, employee relations, and continuous process improvement. Key Responsibilities Manage the full recruiting lifecycle, including posting positions, sourcing and screening candidates, coordinating interviews, representing QorTek at job fairs, and supporting employment offers to facilitate transformational growth. Coordinate onboarding to help new employees transition smoothly into their teams and projects. Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data to support compliant, efficient HR operations. Coordinate benefits administration and open enrollment with providers, and prepare, maintain, and file required reports with applicable agencies. Advise employees and managers on workplace matters and deliver responsive, consistent, and trustworthy employee relations support. Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, company events, recognition programs, and internal activities that strengthen culture and connect engineering, manufacturing, and research and development teams. Revise and maintain company policies and QorTek's Employee Handbook for clarity, consistency, and compliance; protect confidential employee and company information; and create, coordinate, and facilitate training on HR, compliance, and workplace topics. Support performance management, employee development, management effectiveness, and compliance by translating important information into practical, engaging learning experiences. Recommend improvements to policies, systems, and documentation based on regulatory updates, evolving business needs, and HR best practices. Identify opportunities to simplify and strengthen HR processes, contribute to HR improvement projects, and support continuous improvement as the company grows. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Management, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for education. At least five years of HR Generalist experience or equivalent broad-based HR experience. Experience in a manufacturing, technical, or engineering environment is preferred. Knowledge and Skills Familiarity with HRIS platforms and Microsoft applications, including Teams. Working knowledge of E-Verify and employment laws and regulations, including EEO, FLSA, and other reporting requirements. Experience developing and facilitating training sessions. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to build trusted relationships at all levels of the organization. Sound judgment, professionalism, discretion, and strong ethics. Resourceful, solution-oriented approach to HR challenges. Strong organizational skills and the ability to shift priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Compensation This is a salaried, exempt role requiring onsite work at both QorTek's headquarters in Linden, PA, and its State College, PA location. QorTek offers full-time employees a 401(k) with an available company match; medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; paid time off; and paid holidays. U.S. work authorization is a condition of employment. QorTek will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa now or in the future. The ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance may also be required. Relocation benefits are not available for this position. Candidates must reside within commuting distance of both Linden, PA, and State College, PA.
Pay:
$68,000.00 - $94,000.00 per year
