About us Autism Behavior Centers is headquartered in Chino, CA with services covering the Inland Empire and Orange County areas. We provide direct behavioral therapy in naturalistic environments for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental delays. Our team works in collaboration with families to support life transitions, school-readiness, and adaptive living skills. Autism Behavior Centers is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our growing ABA organization. This position will begin part-time with the opportunity to grow into full-time hours as our HR needs expand. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, knowledgeable in HR best practices, and comfortable independently managing recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, compliance, and workplace safety. What You'll Do
- Recruit and hire clinical and administrative staff, including personally interviewing BT/RBT and administrative candidates.
- Screen resumes for Program Manager, BCBA, Clinical Director, and leadership positions and forward qualified candidates to leadership.
- Own the onboarding experience, new-hire paperwork, and coordination of our biweekly initial training program.
- Conduct or support the HR portion of new-hire orientation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee-relations questions, workplace concerns, conflict resolution, and performance discussions.
- Coordinate quarterly employee performance meetings and related documentation.
- Administer health insurance, leaves of absence, short- and long-term disability, and retirement benefits.
- Maintain HR compliance, conduct audits, maintain records, and update policies based on legal and organizational requirements.
- Manage workers' compensation claims, OSHA logs, and related safety and risk-management responsibilities. What We're Looking For
- 3-5 years of HR experience strongly preferred.
- ABA, behavioral health, or healthcare HR experience strongly preferred.
- SHRM-CP, PHR, and/or aPHR certification strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits, HR compliance, and documentation.
- Excellent communication, organization, discretion, judgment, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently in a growing organization and partner effectively with leadership.
