Software Onboarding Specialist (Remote)Company OverviewWe are located in Utah and we are software and government technology company that has been serving municipalities and government agencies for the past 30+ years. Position OverviewWe are seeking a remote Software Onboarding Specialist to guide new customers through successful implementation and adoption of our SaaS/ERP solutions. This role focuses on planning and executing onboarding projects, configuring software to meet customer requirements, delivering training and documentation, and ensuring measurable adoption and satisfaction. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage timelines, and act as a trusted customer advocate to drive long-term success.
Key ResponsibilitiesOwn end-to-end onboarding and implementation projects for SaaS and ERP customers, from kick-off through go-live and initial adoption.
Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and milestones; communicate status and risks to customers and internal stakeholders.
Configure software and tailor workflows to meet customer requirements, working closely with product and engineering teams when needed.
Lead data migration and integration activities in partnership with customers and technical teams; validate data accuracy and system readiness.
Design and deliver role-based training sessions, workshops, and onboarding materials for end users and administrators.
Create and maintain clear, user-focused documentation, playbooks, and checklists to support onboarding and handoffs.
Monitor adoption metrics and customer feedback to identify opportunities for optimization and to ensure success criteria are met.
Serve as the primary point of contact for onboarding-related questions, troubleshooting, and escalation management.
Collaborate with Customer Success, Sales, Product, and Support to ensure a smooth transition from implementation to ongoing account management.
Continuously refine onboarding processes and best practices to improve efficiency and customer outcomes.
Qualifications1-3+ years experience in software onboarding, implementation, or customer-facing technical roles with proven results.
Hands-on experience with SaaS and ERP implementations, including configuration, integrations, and data migrations.
Strong project management skills with the ability to create and manage timelines, dependencies, and cross-functional coordination.
Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable delivering training to technical and non-technical audiences.
Technical aptitude with familiarity of SQL and the ability to work with technical teams on data and integrations (basic SQL skills preferred).Customer-centric mindset with experience managing expectations and acting as a trusted advisor during onboarding.
Comfortable working remotely and managing distributed stakeholder relationships across time zones.
Ability to produce clear documentation, onboarding playbooks, and training materials.
