Job Description

We are looking for an HR Generalist to support day-to-day people operations and payroll activities for a growing organization in Ladson, South Carolina. This position blends hands-on human resources administration with detailed payroll coordination, requiring someone who can manage confidential records, support employees throughout the employment lifecycle, and help keep internal processes compliant and organized. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across HR systems, benefits administration, and payroll functions while partnering with leadership to maintain accurate documentation and consistent policy execution.
Responsibilities:
  • Administer biweekly payroll for a workforce of approximately 50 to 100 employees, ensuring earnings are processed accurately and on schedule.
  • Maintain payroll data such as deductions, benefit elections, wage changes, garnishments, and other compensation-related updates.
  • Review and calculate regular pay, overtime, incentive payments, reimbursements, and other payroll adjustments as needed.
  • Allocate payroll expenses correctly across departments, locations, and job assignments to support accurate costing and reporting.
  • Reconcile payroll transactions, direct deposits, tax-related items, and liability balances while helping maintain accurate payroll-related ledger accounts.
  • Coordinate employee onboarding and separation processes, including documentation, records updates, and administrative follow-through.
  • Keep personnel files, benefits records, and other employee documentation current, organized, and compliant with company and legal standards.
  • Support benefits administration, holiday and time-off tracking, company equipment records, and implementation of HR policies and handbook guidelines.
  • Contribute to HR and payroll system setup activities related to HR Software and assist with data accuracy during ongoing configuration efforts.
