Job Description - HR Generalist Position Summary The HR Generalist serves as a key member of the Human Resources team, supporting employees and managers across the employee lifecycle while ensuring efficient HR operations, compliance, and service delivery. This role is responsible for administering HR programs, maintaining employee data integrity, supporting payroll processes, managing employee relations matters, and delivering a high level of customer service to employees and leaders. The HR Generalist acts as the first point of contact for routine HR inquiries and collaborates closely with business leaders and HR leadership to promote a positive employee experience and ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations. This role reports to the Sr. HRBP / USA and the Managing Director of Rieter, LLC. Essential Duties and Responsibilities HR Operations & Administration Manage the employee lifecycle from recruitment through separation, including onboarding, transfers, promotions, and offboarding. Maintain employee records and ensure HRIS data accuracy and integrity. Process employment-related documentation and maintain confidential personnel files. Support company HR policies, procedures, and programs. Employee & Manager Support Serve as the first point of contact for employee and manager HR inquiries. Assist with employee relations concerns and escalate complex issues as appropriate. Provide guidance regarding company policies, benefits, leave programs, and HR processes. Support managers in the consistent application of HR policies and employment practices. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Conduct HR compliance audits and maintain required employment documentation. Support investigations and documentation related to employee issues. Assist with implementation and communication of policy updates. Payroll & Benefits Administration Coordinate payroll inputs and partner with payroll providers to ensure accurate processing. Support benefits administration, enrollment activities, and employee communications. Assist employees with benefit-related questions and issue resolution. HR Metrics & Continuous Improvement Track HR performance metrics, service levels, and employee satisfaction indicators. Generate reports and support workforce analytics initiatives. Identify opportunities to improve HR processes through automation, standardization, and best practices. Participate in HR projects and organizational initiatives. Talent & Organizational Support Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding activities. Support training, performance management, and employee development programs. Contribute to employee engagement and culture-building initiatives. Assist with workforce planning and organizational effectiveness activities as needed. Education Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent certification preferred. Experience Minimum 5 years of progressive HR Generalist, HR Operations, or Shared Services experience. Experience supporting employees and managers in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred. Experience with HRIS systems, payroll administration, and case management tools. Must have
SAP HR / HCM
required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong customer-service orientation and problem-solving abilities. High level of discretion and confidentiality. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR technology systems.
