Head of Human Resources Job Summary CoLinx, LLC, a prominent North American logistics & e-commerce provider, is seeking an experienced Head of Human Resources to lead HR strategy, oversee talent acquisition, ensure legal compliance, and manage employee benefits and development programs across the organization. This role serves as a key strategic partner to the Board of Directors and Executive Leadership; and oversees all core HR functions.
HEAD OF HUMAN RESOURCES JOB DESCRIPTION
Essential Job Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Create and deliver briefings to executive leadership team and the Board of Directors.
- Oversee the organization's full-cycle recruitment, interviewing, selection, and onboarding processes.
- Plan employee benefits, health, and safety programs.
- Facilitate and monitor the implementation of standardized human resource processes.
- Ensure adherence to all internal policies, employment legislation, and legal standards (including
ADA, PWFA, PUMP
Act, FMLA, and EEOC regulations).
- Perform benchmarking on compensation and benefit programs to maintain competitive structures.
- Maintain regulatory compliance, legal accountability, and operational continuity while fostering strong employee engagement and positive workplace relations.
- Structure benefits and wellness programs to effectively attract and retain talent.
- Provide leadership, supervision, and guidance to the Human Resources department.
- Collaborate with the technical team to design, integrate, and implement HR software systems for enhanced efficiency.
- Recommend and implement improved measures for objective performance evaluations.
- Oversee succession planning and manage professional development and training programs to support workforce advancement
Minimum Qualifications & Experience Requirements:
- Advanced degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related field
- Demonstrated extensive experience as Head of Human Resources, or other senior HR role.
- Possess up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance regulations across both the US and Canada (such as the
ADA, PWFA, PUMP
Act, FMLA, EEOC, and Federal/Provincial Canada Labour Codes).
- Proficiency with HR tools, Information Systems (HRIS), and recruiting software.
Knowledge, Skills & Core Competencies:
- Strong understanding of Employer Branding and Recruitment Marketing strategies.
- Comprehensive expertise in all core aspects of HR operations and management.
- Demonstrated collaboration skills with a track record of being an impactful team oriented professional.
- Exceptional critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal capabilities.
- Effective time management, organizational skills, and strong sense of ownership.
- Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or
SHRM-SCP
certification preferred.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Ability to remain in a stationary position to operate a computer and all standard office equipment for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
