The Position The HR Specialist will support our growing privately held business comprised of approximately 150 employees in an office and field environment. This role operates as the key HR Business Partner, advisory point person and works collaboratively with the Leadership Team. You will report directly to the CEO/President of the company. Please note, this position is a full time, in office position. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Comfortable working autonomously in a small corporate work environment Ideal candidate should be intuitive and proactive vs. reactive type of individual who can think strategically The role is a full-time in-office position Experience creating or managing policies that shape positive, appropriate employee behavior Experience in working with office and field employees preferred High level of integrity, confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential employee information Work with the leadership team to support them and company HR transactional and strategic initiatives Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to interface and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management Leads full cycle recruiting and talent management process in coordination with the hiring managers including all hourly and salaried staff Administer employee onboarding, offboarding, and personnel records Process payroll and administers HRIS systems and tools accurately and confidentially Works with a PEO to effectively administer both payroll and benefits Ensure compliance with Federal and State employment laws and company policies Serves as an HR resource for all employees and escalates matters appropriately Handles employee relations cases and working towards positive resolution for the employer and employee Assist with HR reporting and audits as needed Support policy administration subject to leadership approval Ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment that is focused on taking care of both the internal and external customer Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate degree in business, human resources, or equivalent mix of experience and education, bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5 to 7 years minimum experience in HR Generalist or Specialist roles of progressively increasing responsibility
  • HR certifications, either SPHR or PHR preferred
  • Proven track record of working in middle market sized companies with a small HR team
  • Must successfully pass a background check as part of pre-employment process
  • Experience in processing payroll working using the current PEO platform
Pay:
$75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
