Job Description

Position Summary:
The Human Resources Intern provides administrative support to the HR department while gaining valuable exposure to the various aspects of the HR function and duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure an environment of excellence in the human resources department by answering employee requests and questions. Develop knowledge of basic employment laws and regulations as it relates to the Human Resource function. Scans and prepares documents into appropriate electronic files. Assist with data analysis and data integrity across various systems. Ensure accurate record keeping and update HRIS as needed. Assists with recruitment and interview process, tracks status of candidates in HRIS. Assists with onboarding, orientation, and training coordination for new hires. Assists with basic benefit administration and questions. Assists or prepares correspondence as requested. Adhere to company safety rules, policies, procedures, and regulations. Perform related duties as required. Skills and Qualifications Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail A working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures is preferred. Proactive mindset and self-motivated learner Ability to thrive in independent work and collaborate as needed Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS and payroll systems, and related software High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and ability to execute.
