Carpenter Company has an immediate opening for Senior HR Generalist at their Temple, TX manufacturing plant. We're looking for a Senior HR Generalist who brings both heart and precision to the people side of the business. The Senior HR Generalist plays a key role in attracting, hiring, and successfully onboarding top talent while supporting core human resources functions. This role is heavily focused on full-cycle recruiting and delivering a positive, consistent onboarding experience that sets new employees up for success. The HR Generalist partners closely with hiring managers and internal stakeholders to ensure HR practices align with organizational goals, policies, and compliance requirements. Recruiting - Finding People Who Belong Here Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned roles, from posting to offer. Partner with leaders to understand plant needs and translate them into great hires. Create a positive candidate experiences that feel personal, organized, and welcoming. Onboarding - First Days That Feel Like Home Design and deliver onboarding that is warm, efficient, and engaging. Prepare and process new hire paperwork, background checks, and pre-employment requirements Ensure new hires feel prepared, connected, and confident from day one. Partner with managers to create strong first impressions and lasting engagement ensuring that new hires are equipped with tools, systems access, and training plans Serve as a primary point of contact for new employees during their first 90 days Continuously refine onboarding to reflect feedback and business needs. Strategic HR Partner Support managers with coaching employees addressing questions related to policies, procedures, and benefits Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in HRIS systems Support performance management, employee engagement initiatives, and training programs Contribute to HR initiatives that strengthen culture, retention, and performance. Balance compliance, compassion, and business needs in every decision. Time & Attendance - Where Accuracy Meets Trust Assists with timekeeping systems and processes to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll inputs. Partner with managers to resolve attendance issues. Continuously improve processes to make time tracking simple, clear, and employee-friendly. Benefits Administration - Turning Benefits into Belonging Serve as a resource for employees navigating benefits questions and life changes. Support open enrollment and benefits communications that are clear, warm, and easy to understand. Skills and Requirements Bachelor's degree in Human Resource, Organizational Development or related discipline 5+ years of prior human resources and/or payroll experience preferred Experience using an HRIS; UKG preferred Strong attention to detail paired with big-picture thinking. Excellent communication skills—clear, kind, and confident. A love for process improvement and people-centered solutions. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and care.
