Job Description

Human Resources Associate We are searching for a motivated Human Resources Associate who is an excellent multitasker with exceptional communication and time management skills. This role will work closely with leadership to support workforce planning, employee relations, safety compliance, talent development, and organizational growth. Must have remarkable conflict management and decision-making skills with a solid understanding of employee relationships, staffing management, and payroll and benefits administration.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute staffing strategies based on production needs and labor forecasts.
  • Recruit, interview, and hire hourly production employees, skilled trades, and salaried staff.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for employee concerns, conflict resolution, and workplace issues.
  • Conduct investigations, document findings, and administer corrective actions in a consistent, fair manner.
  • Manage onboarding programs that include safety, quality, and job‑specific training.
  • Coordinate employee development, cross‑training, and leadership training initiatives.
  • Maintain digital and electronic records of employees.
  • Oversee performance review processes and coach supervisors on effective feedback.
  • Support managers in identifying high‑performing employees and planning for internal growth.
  • Support accident/incident investigations and workers' compensation claims.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Oversee hourly and salaried payroll processes and attendance tracking.
  • Manage benefits enrollment, employee inquiries, and leave of absence programs.
  • Provide recommendations on competitive wage structures and incentive programs.
  • Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies across all shifts and departments
  • Develop and lead employee engagement and recognition programs
  • Track HR metrics including turnover, absenteeism, training hours, and labor trends
Candidate Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5 + years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws, OSHA guidelines, and HR best practices.
  • Exceptional time management and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to support a multi-shift operation.
  • Professional manner and a strong ethical code.
  • Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive.
  • Commitment to working efficiently and accurately.
  • Effective people management skills.
  • Exposure to payroll practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools.
  • Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately follow instructions.
