DESCRIPTION
The Human Resource Specialist supports the recruiting process to help hiring managers select top talent, manages new hire onboarding, organizational changes and leave management. The role handles day-to-day HR needs independently and contributes to programs that improve the employee experience.
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES
Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining the highest degree of accuracy, integrity, confidentiality and timeliness Proactively anticipate organizational needs and provide effective, value-adding solutions Support recruiting activities, including posting openings, training and supporting hiring managers through the process, screening candidates, and participating in interviews with hiring managers Drive the onboarding of new employees including setting up and monitoring new hire paperwork process of backgrounds, drug tests, 1-9s, W-4s, E -verify, etc. and conduct orientation Advise employees and managers on policies, procedures, and standard practices Resolve routine employee relations questions and escalate complex matters Process employee changes and maintain employee records and files in accordance with legal requirements and company standards Support FMLA and other leave administration and respond to employment verification and unemployment requests Maintain compliance with employment laws and company policies Analyze HR data and prepare reports that support decisions Contribute to process improvements and HR project work Perform other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and
ABILITIES
Solid knowledge of HR practices and employment regulations Ability to apply policies consistently and exercise sound judgment Strong problem solving and follow-through Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage sensitive situations with discretion Competence in analyzing and presenting HR data Effective administrative and data-management skills. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks with strong attention to detail.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATES
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience Two or more years of HR experience HR certification (PHR or SHRM-CP) preferred Ability to conduct all HR business/ conversations in Spanish and English Required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
