Job Description
Summary Lidl US is seeking a Senior Analyst, People Analytics to join our HR team. This highly analytical, systems-focused role is designed for a data professional who can successfully bridge the gap between complex HR systems and executive business strategy. Serving as an internal consultant and strategic partner, the Senior Analyst will design, model, and automate data frameworks sourced from our enterprise platforms. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally across HR, Operations, Sales, and Logistics, taking ownership of company-wide personnel metrics and labor cost forecasting through technical innovation and rigorous data governance. What You'll Do Essential Functions Engineer and maintain interactive reporting tools, dynamic dashboards, and lightweight data applications. Automate and eliminate manual reporting processes across the enterprise. Translate complex analytical findings into clear, high-level business insights. Autonomously present recommendations to senior executive leadership. Advise on complex organizational structure and hierarchy concepts. Maintain and audit job description frameworks to ensure data integrity and structural alignment with business growth. Support the annual Personnel Planning process through sophisticated predictive modeling and deep financial analysis. Monitor personnel costs and ensure absolute alignment with strict budgetary constraints. Act as a strategic problem-solver by independently auditing datasets to uncover hidden trends (e.g., turnover patterns, span of control issues, productivity gaps). Question existing inefficiencies and independently pitch process enhancements. Build and manage seamless, automated data pipelines within a transitioning Microsoft-to-Google Workspace environment. Ensure absolute data flow integrity across SAP, ADP, and SuccessFactors. Serve as the primary steward of HR master data and reporting governance. Establish rigorous validation logic to ensure flawless data structure and accuracy across all employee lifecycle datasets. Partner seamlessly across HR, Operations, Payroll, Finance, and IT. Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the total business lifecycle to optimize workforce tracking. Draft technical standard operating procedures (SOPs) and governance documentation regarding cross-departmental data architectures. What You'll Need Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet and reporting tools, including Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, with the ability to translate complex logic, formulas, validations, and reporting structures across evolving platforms. Demonstrated ability to build automated solutions using Google Apps Script and similar scripting/automation tools to streamline manual workflows, eliminate redundant processes, and develop operational tools. Ability to adapt technical reporting and automation solutions from a Microsoft-based environment into a Google Workspace-centric ecosystem. Deep technical comprehension of HR systems, employee lifecycle processes, and workforce records. Proven experience safeguarding highly sensitive personnel data under strict HR compliance guidelines. Exceptional analytical skills balanced with high business literacy. Ability to think holistically about how workforce metrics impact downstream operations in Sales, Logistics, and Administration.
High level of ownership and attention to detail. Comfort working cross-functionally and driving projects forward with minimal supervision. Required Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Finance, HR Management, or a related quantitative field. 3-5 years of experience managing complex people metrics, organizational reporting, workforce records, and interactive dashboard engineering.
In lieu of a degree, 5+ years of experience in an advanced data/workforce analytics capacity will meet requirements. Physical Job Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
