Human Resources Benefits Specialist

Job Description

We're seeking an HRIS & Payroll Administrator with proven experience (SME) in UKG (UltiPro/Dimensions)—this is a required skill for the role. The ideal candidate will use their UKG expertise to manage and optimize our HR and payroll systems, ensuring accurate data, efficient payroll processing, and seamless HR operations. This position will be onsite in Berryville, VA. There is no remote option for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
HRIS Administration Serve as the primary organizational contact for UKG (UltiPro/Dimensions) support, troubleshooting, system enhancements, and end-user assistance. Maintain, configure, and optimize HRIS functionality to meet HR and business needs. Manage employee records, new hire setup, and ensure data integrity within the HRIS. Ensure data accuracy through regular audits, system testing, and updates. Create, maintain, and distribute HRIS reports and dashboards, including workforce analytics, headcount summaries, payroll metrics, and other key HR reporting. Collaborate with Shared Services to streamline processes and improve data integrity. Manage interfaces and file feeds between UKG and third-party vendors (benefits, payroll, timekeeping, 401(k), etc.). Payroll Administration Coordinate weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing for multiple locations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Review and validate payroll data for accuracy and completeness. Audit and resolve timekeeping discrepancies in collaboration with HR and managers. Provide timekeeping support and ensure accurate employee time records. Maintain payroll records and prepare reports as needed. Partner with Shared Services to ensure timely payroll processing and issue resolution. Benefits & Leave Administration Support communication of employee benefits programs, including enrollment, eligibility, and employee support. Coordinate and manage the annual Open Enrollment process. Administer the company's 401(k) program, including employee enrollments and changes. Coordinate Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) administration and ensure compliance with applicable laws. Administer employee leave programs, including leaves of absence and related documentation. Partner with Shared Services and third-party vendors to ensure accurate benefit and leave administration. Reporting & Training Develop and distribute HR and payroll reports, including headcount summaries, payroll metrics, PPP tracking, workforce analytics, and other business reporting. Provide insights and recommendations based on HRIS, payroll, and workforce data. Deliver end-user training and support for HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping functions. Serve as the subject matter expert for HRIS capabilities, process improvements, and system best practices.
Preferred Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 3+ years of experience with UKG (UltiPro/Dimensions) HRIS and payroll systems. Demonstrated expertise in HRIS configuration, payroll administration, and process improvement. Proficiency in HR reporting, analytics, and database management. Strong understanding of wage and hour laws, compliance, and HR best practices. Advanced Excel skills and experience with HRIS reporting tools. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams. High attention to detail, confidentiality, and accuracy in all work.
Work Schedule:
