General Public - G Additional Detail Job Duties The Human Resources Department of the Office of the Executive Secretary in Virginia's Judicial System is seeking experienced, service-oriented Human Resources Analysts to join a high-volume, fast-paced HR office. This position provides comprehensive HR Support to Judicial System employees across multiple functional areas, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits, leave administration, processing transactions, performance management support, and offboarding. This position may require travel (day and overnight) to conduct training, give presentations at conferences, and provide other HR functions as requested/required. Successful candidates must demonstrate strong customer service skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, effective written and verbal communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering accurate and timely HR services. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Serves as primary HR point of contact to provide responsive, accurate, and professional HR services to Judicial system employees. Researches, interprets, and applies HR policies, procedures, programs, and applicable employment requirements. Maintains ownership of assigned work from initiation through resolution, including appropriate follow-up, documentation, and status communication. Minimum Qualifications The most competitive candidates will possess: High school diploma or GED. Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Experience entering, reviewing, and maintaining employee information in an HRIS. Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to produce accurate, complete, and timely work products. Ability to manage a high-volume workload, prioritize competing assignments, meet deadlines, and communicate proactively about delays or concerns. Considerable experience managing or supporting full-cycle recruitment and talent acquisition activities including: Developing or reviewing screening criteria, interview questions, evaluation tools, and other selection materials; Pre-employment requirements, including reference checks, background checks, and other required screenings; Coordinating candidate communications, interviews, selection, offers, reference checks, background checks, and other pre-employment activities; and, Supporting onboarding activities and ensuring new hire requirements are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
Several years of relevant human resources experience, preferably within a government, judicial, legal, or similarly complex and highly regulated organization. Experience using Oracle Fusion Cloud, Oracle HCM, or another enterprise HRIS. Professional HR Certification, such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or
SHRM-SCP
