HR Generalist Canyon Trail Logistics Inc. (Amazon Delivery Service Partner) Waynesboro, VA Full-Time |
Salary:
$60,000-$72,000 DOE + Benefits Join a Growing Company Where HR Makes a Difference Canyon Trail Logistics is a locally owned Amazon Delivery Service Partner (DSP) employing approximately 100 team members based in Waynesboro and serving the Charlottesville area. We are looking for an experienced, highly organized HR Generalist to lead our day-to-day human resources operations. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems, improving processes, and helping build a positive workplace culture. You will be the primary HR professional for our organization and will work directly with the Owner/CEO and leadership team. What You'll Do Review and approve employee timecards Manage PTO requests and attendance records Process payroll using ADP Workforce Now Coordinate payroll processing with our external payroll compliance provider Process wage garnishments and court orders Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance Recruiting & Hiring Recruit delivery drivers and support staff Post and manage job advertisements Screen resumes and conduct phone interviews Coordinate interviews with management Prepare offer letters and hiring documentation Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding Employee Relations Serve as the primary HR contact for employees Assist managers with coaching and employee performance issues Maintain personnel files Administer disciplinary documentation Conduct exit interviews and offboarding Benefits Administration Manage employee benefit enrollments Assist employees with health insurance questions Coordinate annual open enrollment Process qualifying life events Work with insurance brokers and benefit vendors Compliance & Safety Maintain compliance with federal and state employment laws Coordinate workers' compensation claims Maintain OSHA documentation Assist with unemployment claims Ensure Amazon employment compliance requirements are met Maintain confidential HR records HR Operations Develop and maintain HR policies and SOPs Track employee training and certifications Support employee recognition and engagement programs Generate HR reports and metrics Assist with special projects as assigned
Qualifications Required:
