Job Description

Location :
Waynesboro, VA, USA As the Polymer Production Control Manager , you will have ownership for the day-to-day operations of both the polymer production and essential material areas. You will lead safety, productivity and reliability improvements. This position demands a high degree of autonomy, making it ideal for a self-starter who is comfortable challenging the status quo. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for explaining complex concepts effectively. The role follows a day-based schedule but includes 24/7/365 responsibilities, with occasional night or weekend work required. This position will offer the opportunity to greatly expand and strengthen engineering skills and other Operational support needs by working with Waynesboro's Technical Team in identifying/analyzing process trends and creating/implementing targeted changes that will further improve and optimize current processes.Other responsibilities include:
Identify and report environmental, health and safety incidents, concerns and near misses. Lead investigations seeking best knowledge to prevent recurrence. Hold employees accountable for maintaining 100% compliance with safety procedures and practices. Mentor operators and maintenance personnel for deeper understanding of fundamental process operation and process equipment Develop and maintain meaningful area performance metrics and drive improvements. Lead initiatives for process optimization to maximize measures of production, quality and yield Lead root cause investigations Work with operators, maintenance, technical professionals, and site leadership to resolve problems in polymerization or spinning processes Drive a culture that creates long term business value through innovation, creativity, and challenging the status quo. Lead area projects. Lead/ assist area training and be a mentor and coach to new employees Troubleshoot equipment such as pumps and valves. Uphold quality standards and ensure compliance of critical quality systems Qualifications (Required) 2 years' experience managing in a manufacturing environment, OR Experience working with Polymers Proficient in Microsoft Office Products Qualifications (Preferred) 2- or 4-year technical degree in a related field Familiarity with OSHA safe work requirements Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Technical skills to troubleshoot complex processes and equipment We're an equal opportunity employer.
