Position Overview The Onboarding and Training Specialist is responsible for delivering a training curriculum complete with materials, instructions, and learning resources such as online training modules and printed materials for all new employees. The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator and a devoted mentor who is up to date on the latest tools, EHR, programs and resources required to provide high quality employee training. This position will work closely with the department administrators and HR department and will communicate regularly on staff's progress and milestones toward getting into their new clinical or non-clinical position. Summary of the Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop programs and curriculum for the employee of the organization for orientation and in-job training Conduct needs assessment and identify performance gaps and implementing training best practices to ensure alignment with company needs Collaborate with internal business partners to create industry-specific course content Handles all client information and department activities in a confidential manner in keeping with Columbia Wellness policy. Refers specialized questions to the appropriate clinical staff or supervisor if something comes up during training. Maintain a database of all training materials on the company drive Organized and able to create and manage multiple timelines and schedules Effective use of technology and software including but not limited to computers, phones, email, EHR, etc. Be helpful, respectful, approachable and team oriented. Effective time management including but not limited to planning where possible delays in training may occur. Overcommunicate any training delays with staff department administrator(s). Excellent leadership, able to build strong working relationships, mentorships and foster a positive work environment. Be receptive to feedback, willing to learn, change and embrace continuous process improvement. Attend all appropriate staff, organizational, and external meetings (as assigned). Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Handles all client information and department activities in a confidential manner in keeping with Columbia Wellness policy Conduct employee surveys post training Analyze the effectiveness of training and workshops to the employees and develop appropriate modification if needed Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Power Point necessary. Knowledge of eLearning technology tools. Actively participate with HR audits and reviews of employee discipline patterns, compliance risks, and labor - relations exposure. Participate as needed with labor - management discussions, employee disciplinary step processes, grievance preparation and assist with leadership planning in a confidential and advisory capacity. Be granted as needed access to non-public, sensitive labor - relations information to perform job duties and to assist leadership with the professional development of each employee. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
HS Diploma or equivalent is required One year experience in a training position preferred but not required. Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), and Credible EHR Certified (Company will provide) Data entry and phone etiquette ability required
Salary:
Starting at $23.03/hr. We are proud to be able to not only offer competitive compensation but also a benefit package that our employees love.
