Role Summary:

The Human Resources Generalist II serves as an HR professional for the Wapato warehouse location and oversees all aspects of human resources, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, training and development, workers' compensation, and regulatory compliance. This position partners closely with the HR team and HR Director to implement and coordinate HR strategies, programs, and services that support organizational goals and ensure compliance with federal and Washington State employment laws.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Manage the workers' compensation program, overseeing the full claim lifecycle for warehouse and handle the day to day claim management for Orchard employees.
• Oversee OSHA recordkeeping, reporting accuracy, and maintenance of OSHA logs.
• Prepare and submit the annual EEO-1 Report for warehouse and orchards.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Advise and coach managers on employment policies, employee relations, performance management, and HR best practices.
• Assist with required employee training and professional development programs.
• Collaborate with HR leadership to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives.
• Communicate policy updates and ensure employees and managers receive appropriate training and education.
• Lead and oversee employee relations activities, including conflict resolution, investigations, coaching, and disciplinary processes.
• Support recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and retention efforts.
• Analyze HR trends and recommend improvements to processes and programs.
• Maintain accurate HR records and documentation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration required.
• A minimum of 5 years of human resource generalist experience required.
• Experience with Paylocity HRIS strongly preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.

Certificates & Licenses:

• Professional in Human Resources (PHR), SPHR, or CCP certification preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong knowledge of Washington State and federal employment laws and regulations. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills. Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making abilities. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR information systems. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Frequent standing and walking throughout warehouse and orchard facilities.
• Ability to access and navigate all operational departments.
• Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 20 pounds.
• Physical requirements include hearing, seeing, speaking, reaching, handling, and performing repetitive motions.
