Job Summary:
The Human Resource Generalist at CTS serves as the primary point of contact for HR and recruiting, supporting employees and leadership across a range of human resources functions.Duties/Responsibilities:
Coordinate onboarding and orientation, including processing new hires in UKG and maintaining new hire documentation. Maintain employee access systems, including facility security codes and fuel account access. Support logistics such as booking travel accommodations for new hires and drivers as needed. Assist with recruiting efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, school outreach, and maintaining candidate pipelines. Manage full-cycle recruiting and onboarding processes using HRIS platforms. Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS/UKG and ensure compliance with recordkeeping requirements. Administer HR programs including compensation, benefits, leave of absence, workers' compensation, and employee recognition initiatives. Support employee relations by addressing inquiries, resolving workplace concerns, and assisting with investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations. Track and ensure compliance with required training, certifications, and continuing education. Assist in planning employee events, milestone programs, and engagement initiatives. Provide guidance to managers and staff on HR policies, procedures, and employment-related matters. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, OSHA standards, and company policies. Support performance management, employee evaluations, and training and development initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail Analytical and problem-solving capabilities Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systemsEducation and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required At least 1 year of HR experience preferred SPHR certification is a plusPhysical Requirements:
