Position Summary:
The HR Generalist supports the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources function in a manufacturing environment. This role assists with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, training, performance management, and HR recordkeeping. The HR Generalist serves as a trusted resource for teammates and leaders while helping maintain a positive, safe, and compliant workplace. The HR Generalist will support HR functions at three entities: Acuity Foam in Waukesha- expected to be onsite at this location 1-2 days per week. Komponents in Oconomowoc
- expected to be onsite at this location 1-2 days per week. Brewer in Menomonee Falls
- expected to be onsite 1 day per week or as needed.
Essential Responsibilities:
(other duties as assigned) Support full-cycle recruiting activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, reference checks, offer letters, and pre-employment requirements. Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation, and employee documentation to ensure a smooth transition into the organization. Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, HRIS data, attendance records, and other required documentation. Assist teammates and leaders with questions related to company policies, procedures, benefits, attendance, payroll, and workplace expectations. Support employee relations by helping address concerns, documenting conversations, assisting with investigations, and promoting fair and consistent practices. Partner with leaders to support coaching, corrective action, performance management, and employee development conversations. Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, employee education, qualifying life event changes, and communication with benefit providers. Manage payroll processing for three entities on a bi-weekly basis. Help coordinate training programs and safety initiatives. Plan and promote engagement events, activities, and meetings, including two large events annually- Summer Picnic and Holiday Party.
Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered; HR certification a plus. Five or more years of human resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing or similar environment. Experience using HRIS, payroll, timekeeping, applicant tracking, or related business systems. Experience with Rippling HRIS a plus. Working knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, employee relations, benefits, onboarding, and HR compliance requirements. Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and follow-through skills. Ability to build trust with teammates at all levels of the organization, including production employees, supervisors, managers, and executives. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Must not be a family member or personal friend of any current or future teammates of any of the three entities.Working Environment:
