Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Employee and I.C. (Independent Contractor) Relations Coordinator to foster positive relationships within our workforce and ensure seamless communication between employees, contractors, and management. Relations coordinator is responsible for managing human resources functions, independent contractor (IC) recruiting, onboarding and compliance, and key administrative processes that support company operations. This role ensures all HR, DOT, and regulatory requirements are always in compliance while maintaining accurate employee and contractor records. The ideal candidate has proficient attention to detail, professional disposition, and skilled at balancing HR administration, compliance oversight, and the ability to support people within a fast-paced logistics environment. This position requires the regular exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. Responsibilities Conducts all recruiting efforts, which involves publishing job postings, pre-screening of candidates, performs interviews and provides communication with candidates, for company's multiple terminals. Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations, addressing concerns promptly and professionally to maintain a positive work environment. Support talent acquisition efforts by assisting with HR sourcing strategies, screening candidates, and facilitating the interview process. Manage the Independent Contractor evaluation processes, including performance management systems and feedback collection to promote growth and accountability. Assist in benefits administration, including enrollment, inquiries, and compliance with applicable regulations such as FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) and workers' compensation policies. Performs onboarding orientation and training for all new employees. Advise managers on HR policies, procedures, and compliance best practices. Qualifications Proven experience in management or related fields with a strong understanding of DOT Regulations as well as FMCSA designations. Proficiency in project management techniques alongside excellent communication skills for effective conflict management and employee relations. Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel data analysis preferred), ATS (Applicant Tracking System), and other HR systems. Knowledge of regulatory compliance management including OSHA standards, FMLA regulations, and employment law applicable to talent management practices. Ability to handle confidential information with integrity while maintaining professionalism across all interactions. Strong organizational skills with experience in personnel administration, benefits processing, training & development programs, and performance management initiatives.

Pay:
$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
