Sturtevant, WIPosition Summary The Human Resources Intern provides a variety of project support to the Human Resources team while gaining hands-on experience across multiple HR functions. This internship offers exposure to many different areas of the HR profession including recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, compliance, training, records management, and general HR operations. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and interested in pursuing a career in Human Resources. Join us and be part of a growing team!

This is a part-time internship with a maximum of 30 hours per week. Key Responsibilities & Expected Results:
Demonstrate safety as a core value and establish a safe work environment by actively leading the safe execution of work. Assist with light recruitment activities, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates in collaboration with talent acquisition team. Support onboarding activities for new hires, including preparing onboarding materials and coordinating orientation schedules and completing I9s. Maintain employee records and HR documentation while ensuring confidentiality and data accuracy. Assist with data entry and updates within HR Information Systems (HRIS). Help coordinate employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and company events. Support training and development activities and preparing materials. Assist with audits of personnel files and compliance documentation. Prepare reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and other HR-related documents. Respond to day-to-day employee inquiries or direct them to the appropriate HR team member. Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Support updating policies and organization of policy roll-out. Support some light open enrollment activities with the benefits team. Responsible for some general administrative duties, including filing, scanning, and document management.
