We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Consultant to partner with external client organizations to deliver strategic HR solutions and lead impactful projects that drive organizational success. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, helping clients navigate complex employee relations matters, workforce planning initiatives, compliance requirements, organizational change, talent management strategies, and other critical human capital challenges. This HR professional will bring not only a strong attention to details, but sound judgement and the ability to stablish and build effective long term relationships. The HR Consultant facilitates and communicates organizational policies and programs and ensures labor law and regulatory compliance. The HR Consultant also provides internal and external support and partnership to clients to ensure high-quality HR services are being delivered. The HR Consultant provides excellent service by being responsive to the needs of external and internal partners, including clients, co-employed staff, and internal staff and managers, and by providing proper guidance and information related to employment. The HR Consultant will contribute to our success by showing a strong dedication to our mission, vision, values, clients, and internal team members.
WHAT YOU WILL DO 1
) Provide excellent service. a) Be responsive to the needs of external and internal partners, including clients, co-employed staff, vendors, and internal staff and managers, and by providing proper guidance and information related to employment. b) Follow established new client onboarding processes and procedures to ensure a smooth transition to TEG services when participating in new client onboarding activities. c) Provide new clients with the appropriate training and tools on TEG co-employment services. d) Develop HR policies, programs and practices that reflect a deep understanding of the individual client's business culture and objectives. e) Maintain continuous open communication with clients and internal staff regarding clients' needs and expectations to ensure client satisfaction. Communicate progress on each project to the client and internal staff as needed. f) Ensure client contact is appropriate based on HR department's requirements and client's expectations. g) Keep client management system up to date with client interactions, updated contact information, and correspondence. h) Collaborate with TEG management and internal team members in assessing risks and benefits related to employment practices. i) Maintain general working knowledge of the employee benefits and other services offered by TEG by participating in cross-training and other learning opportunities. j) Stay current on HR practices and legal compliance and share knowledge accordingly. k) Actions taken on behalf of TEG reflect and deliver upon TEG's mission, vision, and values. 2) Effectively complete a variety of human resources activities. a) Inform clients of standard legal employment compliance and ensure they are meeting those requirements in applicable employment law (policies, postings, etc.) and applicable employment practices. b) Maintain electronic and paper files records according to company procedures. c) Ensure new hire paperwork and other employment paperwork is properly completed and filed. d) Create new client employee handbooks and revise current client employee handbooks on a regular basis and/or when required. e) Assist in developing written policies, job descriptions, and other customized written employment materials for clients and for the company's internal use. f) Coordinate recruitment activities for clients and keep them current on progress. g) Provide training to clients and employees on employment matters both in person and electronically. h) Assist clients with compensation planning and management. i) Provide counsel to clients on talent management issues, including, but not limited to candidate selection, performance management, discipline, and termination. j) Stay current on TEG's and client-specific benefit programs and answer questions from clients and co-employees in a timely and effective fashion. k) Ensure co-employee changes are forwarded to the appropriate internal HR team member and are processed within corresponding legal time requirements. l) Resolve any payroll/benefits discrepancies by partnering with TEG payroll and benefits departments. m) Assist clients in navigating and responding to workers' comp and unemployment insurance claims. n) Conduct grievance investigations with staff and client personnel. 3) Other duties as assigned and available. a) Actively participate in meetings, training, and workgroups. b) Develop content and manage HR information on company Intranet, portal, and web pages. c) Provide newsfeed drafts on schedule and/or as requested. d) Keep client relationship management system (CRM) updated with client and employee activities. e) Provide back-up support to other HR team members when requested and/or needed. f) Other duties as assignedWHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL 1
) Knowledge and Experience a) Associate's degree in related field or commensurate experience b) Minimum of four years of HR experience, including experience providing HR consultation and generalist services to a diverse internal or external customer base c) Experience collaborating with management to ensure HR best practices are understood and implemented accordingly. d) Hold a Human Resources related professional certification (PHR or SHRM-CP) or ability to obtain certification within 12 months of employment. e) Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local human resource-related laws, regulations, and rules f) Proven success in managing HR related projects involving multiple stakeholders and competing deadlines. 2) Skills and Abilities a) Excellent communication skills include writing, speaking and the ability to adapt communication style to fit the situation and audience. b) Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to plan and coordinate work independently. balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment c) Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills d) Ability to analyze data, draw appropriate conclusions and recommend solutions. e) Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and databases. f) Ability to be customer-focused and quality-driven with strong customer service skills and focus. g) Ability to exhibit integrity in work product and in interactions with clients and other staff. h) Ability to hold oneself accountable for actions, successes, and failures. i) Ability to operate in an open, honest, and forthright manner to build and maintain relationships with a diverse population. j) Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. k) Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality. l) Ability to effectively work both independently and cooperatively as part of a team. m) Ability to live TEG's Winning Ways n) Willingness to gain knowledge and listen to others. o) Flexibility in the work environment, willingness, and ability to adapt to changing organizational needs. p) Ability to travel within Wisconsin and other states as necessary; must possess a valid Wisconsin driver's license and proof of personal auto liability insurance meeting Wisconsin's minimum requirement. 3) Physical Requirements a) Primarily sedentary work, exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally or a negligible amount.YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT 1
