JOB SUMMARY
The Recruiter/HR Coordinator serves as the liaison between our people and day-to-day operations. With a primary focus on full-cycle recruiting, this role also supports a broad range of HR functions — from onboarding and compliance to policy administration. The ideal candidate is a relationship-builder and process-thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can seamlessly shift between sourcing and partnering with managers on staffing.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Own the full recruitment lifecycle — from job posting through offer acceptance and onboarding — for all open positions within your assigned locations. Partner with hiring managers and department leaders to understand workforce needs. Build and maintain diverse candidate pipelines using job boards, community organizations, and local colleges. Screen applications, conduct structured phone interviews, and coordinate second-step in-person interviews (if required). Administer and continuously improve applicant tracking system (ATS) workflows; ensure data integrity and timely disposition of all candidates. Champion employer branding through campus visits, career fairs, and community partnerships. Coordinate new-hire onboarding — I-9 verification, benefits enrollment, and orientation. Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions on HR policies. Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS; generate reports and audits as needed to support compliance and decision-making. Support compliance efforts, including EEO reporting, I-9 audits, and adherence to federal, state, and local employment law. Perform additional HR and administrative duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; able to engage authentically with candidates, employees, and senior leaders alike. Strong relationship-building and solutions-oriented mindset. Solid working knowledge of HR best practices. High proficiency with ATS platforms and Microsoft 365. Self-starter who manages competing priorities with strong organizational skills and a consistent ability to meet deadlines. Comfortable with ambiguity; able to adapt communication style and approach to varied audiences and situations. Commitment to confidentiality, data privacy, and professional ethics in all HR matters.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive recruiting experience, including at least 2 years managing full-cycle recruitment; an HR generalist background is a significant plus. Experience with applicant tracking systems and HRIS platforms required; exposure to aviation is a plus.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, including overnight stays, for recruiting events, job fairs, and multi-site HR support. Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends to accommodate candidate availability, events, or operational needs. Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record required.
