JOB SUMMARY
The Talent Acquisition/Recruiter II will play a predominant role in the entire recruitment life cycle. This role will oversee inbound and outbound communications with potential candidates, track the hiring process within our applicant tracking system, present offers, and assist with the development of new recruiting processes, strategies, and tools. In addition, the Talent Acquisition/Recruiter II will play a key role in the planning of upcoming recruitment initiatives, including immigration.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Represents the company internally and externally at recruiting events with a goal of networking and building relationships with potential candidates and their communities.
- Conducts sourcing activities to fill open positions and creates a pipeline for future openings.
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of company benefits, position duties, and culture to assist in the attraction and retention of the workforce.
- Proactively seeks market intelligence to gain competitive advantage in attraction, assessment, and sourcing methodologies.
- Engages with external partners to ensure the timely maintenance and updating of job postings on social media platforms.
- Performs analysis of current factory workforce needs.
- Develops attraction and retention programs and works with internal resources on these endeavors.
- Oversees the hiring process for all business units by using the Applicant Tracking System to measure recruitment activity.
- Posts open vacancies both internally and externally.
- Reviews employment applications and successfully screens and interviews qualified candidates via in person, telephone, and video conference.
- Performs background checks and administers drug tests.
- Reviews respective candidate pools to ensure qualified candidates remain engaged in current or future opportunities.
- Partners with the facility GM to select the best candidate for the factory position and shift assignment.
- Contributes to building a talent pipeline and assessing future recruitment needs.
- Collaborates with the HR Director as well as the Hiring Manager to obtain approval and initiate the formal offer.
- Presents offers to candidates and coordinates start dates with the hiring team.
- Launches onboarding through the HRIS platform and ensures that all required documentation is completed by the due date.
- Processes all new hires through E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility.
- Ensures that employees are set up in the time clock on their first day (if applicable).
- Provides incoming employees with a tour of the facility, and coordinates the formal orientation process with the HR Generalist to promote an engaging new hire welcome experience at ATC.
- Generates monthly updates that illustrate current recruitment activity and upcoming initiatives.
- Assists with the Recruitment budget creation process.
- Works within a defined budget and track to meet or come in below the budget.
- Participates in the successful implementation of immigration programs (as applicable).
- Takes a hands-on approach in the recruiting, onboarding and offboarding processes for all workers approved through the Visa program, and ensures that all required documents are in order.
- Assists with all H-2B immigration related services for the company including organizing travel, finding housing and transportation (as required), and assisting workers with obtaining social security numbers.
- Participates in immigration meetings, tracks expenses, and guides the daily process.
- Oversees the process of temporary employee conversions to full-time employment.
- Analyzes current staffing agency agreements and develops required contract terms to implement company wide.
- Builds and maintains relationships with staffing agencies to assist in temporary staffing needs.
- Communicates regularly with the HR department to get a clear view of company's hiring needs and organizational goals.
- Actively participates in team meetings.
- Assists in various topics of training.
- Prepares training materials and offers guidance to other Recruiters as needed.
- Assists in the review of training documents and SOP's and makes recommendations to be reviewed and approved as needed.
- Acts as a brand ambassador for American Textile Company.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, other related field, or equivalent work experience is required
- Minimum of 2-4 years work related experience in recruiting is required
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus
- Prior experience in a fast-paced recruiting environment, with a willingness to remain current and inquisitive with regard to new and cutting-edge recruiting strategies and techniques is required
- Experience recruiting in both a union and non-union manufacturing setting is preferred
- Working knowledge of Federal, State, and local employment laws and regulations
- Familiarity/experience with Immigration Law is preferred
- Prior experience and proficiency of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms is required; Ultimate Software experience is preferred
- Prior experience posting on job boards (LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.) is required
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office
- Demonstrated proficiency at verbal, written and electronic communication
- Adept at presenting information to both individuals and large groups with poise and professional demeanor
- Strong organizational skills including follow up and tracking
- Creative thinker and proactive problem solver, who is responsible and reliable
- Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality
- Ability to work multiple projects simultaneously, knowing what to prioritize in order to meet strict deadlines; seeks guidance and advice when needed
