Kids R First Kansas is seeking an energetic, compassionate, and community-focused Bilingual Foster Parent Recruiter (English/Spanish) to recruit, engage, and support prospective foster families. This position plays an important role in increasing the number of safe, nurturing foster homes available for children in Kansas.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruit prospective foster parents throughout the community. Conduct outreach in both English and Spanish . Build relationships with community organizations, churches, schools, businesses, and other community partners. Attend and coordinate recruitment events, informational meetings, and community activities. Respond to individuals and families interested in becoming foster parents and guide them through the initial recruitment process. Follow up consistently with prospective foster families from initial inquiry through referral to training/licensing. Assist with social media, flyers, presentations, and other recruitment efforts. Maintain accurate records of recruitment contacts, inquiries, events, and outcomes. Collaborate with agency staff to identify recruitment needs and strategies. Represent Kids R First Kansas professionally and positively in the community.
Qualifications:
Bilingual in English and Spanish required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable speaking with individuals, families, and community groups. Organized, dependable, outgoing, and able to work independently. Experience in recruitment, foster care, child welfare, social services, community outreach, marketing, or a related area preferred. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to attend occasional evening or weekend recruitment events.
Preferred:
Knowledge of foster care and the child welfare system is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
