This person will own an individual candidate pipeline, including sourcing, recruiting, interviewing, and selecting prospective Financial Advisors, while building strong internal and external relationships that promote the Northwestern Mutual career opportunity, generate referrals, and support long-term advisor retention. Essential Duties Own recruiting activity and individual contract-production goals in support of the firm's growth plan. Proactively source prospective Financial Advisor candidates through outreach, networking, referrals, community involvement, and personal connections. Build, manage, and maintain an active recruiting pipeline from first contact through selection and onboarding. Conduct initial interviews to evaluate candidate interest, qualifications, professional goals, and overall fit with the Financial Advisor opportunity. Guide candidates through the selection process and coordinate subsequent meetings with field leaders. Maintain timely, professional, and high-touch communication with candidates throughout the recruiting and selection process. Build quality relationships with candidates, current advisors, colleagues, and community contacts to foster a referral-based recruiting culture. Promote the Northwestern Mutual career opportunity and brand within the community and through personal and professional networks. Partner with the on-boarding team to support candidates during pre-training and post-selection stages. Track individual performance against recruiting activity, interview, and contract-production objectives. Performance Expectations Achieve 10 or more full-time Financial Advisor contracts annually. Generate 400 or more initial interviews annually, averaging approximately 32 per month. Conduct 100 or more in-depth interviews annually, averaging approximately 8 per month. Maintain a healthy, consistent candidate pipeline to support ongoing firm growth. Qualifications Experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, sales, business development, financial services, or another relationship-driven and goal-oriented environment. Demonstrated ability to source, engage, interview, and advance candidates or prospects through a structured process. Strong written, verbal, interviewing, and follow-up communication skills. Ability to build trust and credibility with candidates, colleagues, advisors, leaders, and community contacts. Strong organization and time-management skills, with the ability to independently manage a high volume of recruiting activity. Comfort with activity-based performance metrics and individual production goals. Experience with applicant tracking systems, CRM platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, or other sourcing and recruiting technology is preferred. Experience in financial services, wealth management, insurance, professional services, or a high-performance sales environment is preferred. Growth Path This individual will have the opportunity to deepen their expertise in talent acquisition, advisor selection, candidate development, and community-based recruiting. As they build a successful track record of contract production, referral generation, and advisor pipeline development, the role can expand into broader recruiting leadership, talent strategy, onboarding, or firm growth initiatives. Benefits Base salary of $90,000. Performance bonus opportunity of up to $55,000. Target total compensation of $145,000.
