Job Description

Job Summary The recruitment and assessment specialist is responsible for client recruitment and program marketing for all PBHS programs, focusing on PRP/IOP programs. Understanding of the program requirements of psychiatric rehabilitation programs and intensive outpatient programs. Act as a primary liaison between referral sources and the client. Conduct screening and assessment to determine appropriateness for any PBHS programs. Facilitates client enrollment into PBHS programs. Complete the required documentation for screening and enrollment. Recruit and market PBHS programs at designated area hospitals, mental health service providers, or any other appropriate referral. Gather past/present medical and psychiatric history. Communicate effectively with the client and referral sources during screening and enrollment phase. Develop the appropriate advertisement material abiding by governing body requirements. Responsible for day-to-day project tracking-related activities associated with PRP program recruitment, and IOP program recruitment and retention programs. Attend and participate in meetings with interdisciplinary treatment team as needed. Collaborate with treatment team in order to identify barriers to quality, cost-effective and appropriate care based on clinical assessment data. Abide by HIPAA standards at all times. Attend field related conferences/seminars as approved by supervisor.
MUST RECRUIT 10-15 CLIENTS A MONTH
Minimum Qualifications:
This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma, but preferably a bachelor's degree, with at least 2 years of experience in a mental health related field. Additional education may not be substituted for this experience requirement. Knowledge of community resources for marketing, knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses and symptoms, basic computer programs, and electronic medical records programs is preferred. Ability to operate a computer and basic office equipment, operate a telephone system, to speak on a telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner, read, understand and follow oral and written instructions, establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, employees and the public. Must be well organized and detail-oriented.
Physical Demands:
Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment. Manual dexterity needed for using a calculator, phone and computer keyboard.
