Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. Environmental Works (EWI) is looking for a results-driven Recruiter with experience hiring skilled laborer positions to join our team. The Recruiter will work directly with our Operations Managers to provide recruiting support for our Field Services and Emergency Response teams. To be successful, the Recruiter will develop a deep understanding of our business operations, company culture, and the unique needs and challenges of hiring for these positions. In our 30+ years in business at EWI, we have built a team of driven, capable people that work in tandem to offer inventive, practical solutions for our clients' needs. EWI offers truly comprehensive environmental services from strategic planning to compliance and remediation to field, drilling and tank services. We strive to limit unnecessary red tape and trust our team to make the in-the-moment decisions necessary to get the job done. Recruiter | Essential Functions

  • Work closely with Operations Managers to understand the specific requirements for each position and ensure the recruitment process aligns with their needs.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our business operations, company culture, and the unique needs and challenges of hiring for these positions.
  • Review incoming resumes to identify qualified candidates based on job requirements and desired skills. Additional Information

  • Conduct phone screens to assess candidates' qualifications, experience, and cultural fit for EWI.
  • Schedule interviews with hiring managers, ensuring that both candidates and interviewers are well-prepared.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process, providing updates and answering questions as needed.
  • Act as a company advocate by sharing the EWI culture with potential candidates, presenting a compelling case for why EWI is the best place to work, and ensuring alignment with our values and culture.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates to quickly fill open positions during peak seasons and in response to turnover.
  • Collaborate in the development of our talent recruitment strategy to enable the continued growth and scalability of high-volume and sustainable candidate sourcing.
  • Identify and source prospective candidates using a variety of channels including internal referrals, job/career fairs college, networking events, and partnerships with nearby schools and universities. Recruiter | Competencies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a variety of personality types and communication styles.
  • Ability to influence without authority, think critically, and function independently.
  • High level of professionalism and discretion when dealing with confidential information.

  • Two (2)+ years' experience in a recruiting or talent acquisition role for skilled laborer positions. Bonus points for experience recruiting Field/Environmental Technician or CDL Driver roles in Environmental Services or related industries.
  • Knowledge of relevant labor legislation and related recruiting best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ADP experience preferred).
  • Familiarity with Indeed, Zip Recruiter and other job boards.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office & Teams experience preferred. Recruiter | Compensation
  • $55,000 - $75,000 annually.
  • Potential to earn a bonus for each position successfully filled, payable once the employee completes 6 months of service. Recruiter | Benefits

Recruiter | Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time position; typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is required and overtime may be needed due to business needs.
  • Occasional travel to other office locations, job fairs, etc.
