About Casakids Casakids advocates for children who have experienced abuse and neglect, working to ensure every child has a safe, permanent, and nurturing home. Our volunteers serve as powerful voices for children in the court system, and our team is dedicated to supporting those advocates every step of the way. Position Overview Casakids is seeking an energetic and mission-driven Advocate Recruiter to lead volunteer recruitment efforts for our child advocacy program. This role is essential to building a strong, diverse, and committed network of volunteers who will serve as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for children in foster care. The Advocate Recruiter builds community partnerships, leads outreach initiatives, and educates potential volunteers about the impact of child advocacy. This is an engaging, people-focused position ideal for someone who enjoys community connection, public speaking, and mission-based recruitment.
What You'll Do:
Volunteer Recruitment & Engagement Identify, engage, and recruit volunteers to serve as child advocates Serve as the first point of contact for prospective volunteers and guide them through the application and onboarding process Educate community members about the role and impact of CASA volunteers Use digital tools and social media platforms to promote recruitment efforts Community Outreach & Partnerships Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, churches, schools, businesses, and other networks Represent Casakids at community events, fairs, and outreach activities Schedule and attend meetings with community partners to raise awareness about child advocacy Collaborate with the marketing team to strengthen outreach strategies Tracking & Reporting Maintain records of recruitment efforts, leads, and follow-up activities Provide regular updates and reports on recruitment progress What You Bring High School Diploma or GED required Associates degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field preferred OR two years of experience in recruitment, community outreach, marketing, or customer service Strong communication and public speaking skills Comfort and experience with public speaking Ability to build relationships and represent the organization professionally Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends for events Valid New Mexico driver's license and reliable transportation Bilingual English/Spanish preferred Experience in child advocacy or nonprofit work preferred but not required Why Join Casakids Be part of a mission-driven organization advocating for children Work in a collaborative, trauma-informed environment Build meaningful community connections Help recruit volunteers who make a lifelong difference in a child's life
