$24 - $28/hr. Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and people-focused HR / Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our manufacturing organization in Elmira, NY. This position will play a key role in attracting, recruiting, onboarding, and retaining talented employees across our manufacturing and corporate teams. The ideal candidate will have strong recruiting skills, excellent communication abilities, and a practical understanding of human resources in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will partner closely with hiring managers and leadership to identify workforce needs, develop effective recruiting strategies, and ensure a positive candidate and employee experience. Key Responsibilities Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, offers, and onboarding. Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies. Source candidates through job boards, social media, professional networks, employee referrals, community partnerships, and other channels. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for production, skilled trades, engineering, maintenance, administrative, and leadership positions. Coordinate interviews and communicate professionally with candidates throughout the hiring process. Develop relationships with local schools, technical programs, workforce organizations, and community partners to support talent pipelines. Assist with new-hire orientation and onboarding to ensure a smooth transition into the organization. Maintain accurate employee and recruiting records within the HRIS and applicant tracking system. Assist with retention initiatives, employee engagement activities, and workforce development programs. Ensure recruiting and HR practices comply with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies. Prepare recruiting and HR reports and track key metrics such as time-to-fill, turnover, retention, and recruiting sources. Represent the company at career fairs, networking events, and other recruiting activities within the Elmira/Finger Lakes region. Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee and candidate information. Qualifications 2 years of experience in human resources, talent acquisition, recruiting, or a related role. Manufacturing, industrial, engineering, skilled trades, or other high-volume recruiting experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle recruitment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Comfortable working with employees and leaders at all levels of an organization. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS/Applicant Tracking Systems.
