The people we hire make this possible. Every Care Professional represents Home Instead in a client's home and has the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone's day—and most often in someone's life. That is why this role is about much more than filling open shifts. The Recruiter is responsible for finding, selecting, and welcoming the right people to care for our clients. They own the end-to-end hiring process for all Care Professionals at Home Instead, including being the hiring manager for every Care Professional we hire, and understand the connection between hiring and the broader business. Success in this role means consistently bringing compassionate, dependable, capable people onto the Home Instead team—people who are aligned with our values and able to build the extraordinary relationships our clients and their families deserve. What You'll Do Find the People Who Will Make a Difference Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified Care Professionals based on current and anticipated client needs. Develop creative and effective sourcing strategies. Post, refresh, and optimize openings across Indeed, the Home Instead careers site, and local job boards. Build meaningful relationships with CNA and nursing programs, workforce centers, community colleges, faith communities, and local employers. Run and attend hiring events and job fairs. Reconnect with qualified former applicants and previous Care Professionals when appropriate. Be the Hiring Manager for Every Care Professional Review applications and personally lead the selection process for Care Professional candidates. Conduct phone, group, and in-person interviews with a focus on both qualifications and character. Clearly communicate what it means to be a Care Professional with Home Instead—including both the rewards and responsibilities of caring for another person in their home. Make consistent, thoughtful, and well-documented hiring decisions. Prepare New Hires to Succeed Guide candidates through the full hiring journey, including application, interview, offer, background screening, employment documentation, and orientation. Coordinate background checks, references, health screenings, certifications, and other required clearances. Create and maintain accurate employment records, including I-9, W-4, and other required employment documentation. Help new Care Professionals understand Home Instead's expectations, values, standards, and approach to relationship-centered care. Partner with the appropriate team members to ensure new hires are ready to provide safe, dependable, and compassionate care. Connect Hiring to Client Care Align hiring activity with client demand, geographic needs, scheduling requirements, and workforce availability. Work closely with the Scheduling Department to understand current and anticipated staffing needs and support high-quality Care Professional/client matches. Help create the conditions for extraordinary relationships between Care Professionals and clients. Recognize and address recruiting challenges that could affect service quality, scheduling capacity, employee retention, or client experience. Keep Recruiting Organized and Accountable Use texting, automated workflows, and other approved tools to make the hiring process convenient and engaging while maintaining a personal touch. Maintain timely and accurate records in ATS and Scheduling systems. Follow established recruiting and compliance workflows. Prepare regular pipeline updates and recruiting reports. Track source performance and shift spend toward what actually produces hires. Track recruiting activity and outcomes to identify opportunities for improvement. Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive candidate and employee information. Continuously look for ways to make the recruiting process more efficient, human, and effective. What We're Looking For Required High school diploma or equivalent. Two or more years of experience in recruiting, staffing, workforce development, healthcare, home care, hospitality, retail, or another high-volume hiring environment. A genuine interest in people and an ability to connect with candidates from a wide range of backgrounds. Ability to manage multiple candidates, priorities, and deadlines without losing the personal touch. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidential information.
