Full Job Description Campus Organizer Fellow Location:
Multiple Missouri College Campuses across the state
Position Type:
Temporary, part-time fellowship
Term:
Immediate start through November 3, 2026
Time Commitment:
5-6 hours per week
Compensation:
$100 per week, paid bi-weekly
Travel:
Limited to on-campus organizing and canvassing in the local community surrounding the fellow's campus About the Role The Campus Organizer Fellow will help build a strong Respect Missouri Voters Yes on 6 presence on their college campus. Fellows will organize students, create opportunities for students to take action, and help make sure students have the information and resources they need to participate in the November election. This is a hands-on organizing role. Fellows will work closely with Respect Missouri Voters Field and Outreach staff while taking ownership of organizing activity on their campus. The Campus Organizer Fellow should expect some evening and weekend activity based on campus events, voter outreach opportunities, and campaign needs. Responsibilities Plan and lead at least one campus organizing event or action each week , such as a phone bank, canvass, tabling event, or other approved activity. Build a visible and active Respect Missouri Voters Yes on 6 presence on campus. Recruit students to participate in campaign activities. Organize voter registration activities on campus. Organize absentee voting education and drives. Build relationships with student organizations, campus leaders, and other potential supporters. Assist with securing endorsements from campus organizations. Distribute campaign literature and other approved materials. Participate in a weekly coordination call with Field, Outreach, and other Campus Organizer Fellows. Track and report outreach, events, participation, voter contacts, and other organizing activity. Measures of Success Success in this role will be measured by both consistent activity and growth in campus engagement, including: 1 or more organizing events or actions each week (required) voter registrations completed or supported students engaged through voter contact students recruited to participate in campaign activities campus organizations contacted campus endorsements secured Doors canvassed Phone calls/Phone banks Consistent participation in weekly coordination calls Timely reporting and tracking of campus activities Consistent distribution of campaign materials and voter information Specific goals may be adjusted based on campus size, location, and the remaining campaign timeline. What Fellows Will Gain Fellows will gain hands-on experience in grassroots and campus organizing during an active statewide campaign. They will have opportunities to build practical skills in voter engagement, event organizing, volunteer recruitment, relationship-building, coalition outreach, and campaign coordination. Fellows will also work directly with experienced organizers and gain a clearer understanding of how Field and Outreach teams work together to turn campaign strategy into local action. They will learn about the Missouri political process and specifically how everyday Missourians can use the ballot initiative process.
