Job Description
Medical Management Group of New York, Inc. (MMG) has been a trusted provider of medical defense services to New York State's carriers and employers since 1987. As a women-owned business, we are committed to empowering our clients with definitive, accurate, and cost-effective Independent Medical Evaluations (IMEs). Our IMEs are overseen by attorneys who specialize in insurance defense, giving our process a unique medical-legal foundation. With a staff proficient in the regulations that govern IMEs, we assist in defending claims across a wide range of cases including workers' compensation, general liability, first and third-party auto, long and short-term disability, and life and health claims. MMG supports all medical specialties, providing comprehensive and compliant service to our clients. Position Overview We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Client Service Representative/Physician Recruiter to support our daily office operations. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and able to multitask effectively in a medical-legal environment. Key Responsibilities Conduct database research Proactively identify and recruit physicians, specialists, and clinics through targeted outreach and high-volume cold calling, up to 100 or more calls per day. Manage the physician and clinic onboarding and credentialing process from initial contact through completion. Verify medical licenses and board certifications. Review malpractice history and ensure all required credentials and documentation are obtained. Obtain and review physician CVs and the supporting documentation. Ensure providers meet all applicable compliance requirements. Verify and document ADA-compliant office locations. Communicate with providers regarding fee rates and negotiate rates and terms as needed. Maintain accurate and up-to-date provider records. Various projects as needed Required Qualifications 1-2 years of administrative experience, preferably in a medical office or similar healthcare environment Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Must be highly detail orientated Ability to think outside the box and problem-solve creatively Effective multitasking skills in fast-paced environments Thorough with follow-up and documentation Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic office equipment This is a hybrid position that requires regular in-person work, with the flexibility to work remotely on designated days.
