About the Opportunity
AVP SEES
is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Recruiter to support the continued growth of our ophthalmology and ambulatory surgical organization. This role is responsible for full-cycle recruitment across a diverse portfolio of positions, including clinical (ophthalmic technicians, scribes, nurses, opticians), corporate functions, and field leadership roles. The ideal candidate brings deep healthcare recruiting experience, thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site and multi-state environment, and has a proven ability to build strong talent pipelines while partnering closely with operational leaders. Position Overview The Senior Recruiter will lead end-to-end recruitment efforts, driving hiring strategies that ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent across clinics, surgical centers, and corporate teams. This role combines high-volume recruiting, strategic sourcing, and relationship-driven talent engagement. This position plays a critical role in supporting patient care operations, enhancing workforce quality, and enabling organizational growth across multiple markets. This is a remote position and may be performed in any location where the company operates. In compliance with applicable laws, the compensation range for this position is $85,000-$95,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and location. Full-Cycle Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Lead end-to-end recruitment for clinic, surgical, corporate, and field leadership roles Manage high-volume and specialized requisitions simultaneously while maintaining quality standards Conduct candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, offer negotiation, and onboarding coordination Ensure timely hiring to meet operational and patient care staffing needs Clinical & Specialty Healthcare Recruiting Recruit for ophthalmology-specific and allied health roles, including: Ophthalmic Technicians (COA, COT, COMT) Surgical Technicians and Pre/Post-Op Nurses (RN/LPN) Opticians and Patient Services Representatives Evaluate candidates for clinical competencies, certifications, and patient-care alignment Maintain knowledge of ophthalmology workflows, clinic operations, and surgical environments Strategic Sourcing & Pipeline Development Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies using job boards, social media, networking, and referrals Build and maintain robust pipelines of qualified candidates for high-volume and hard-to-fill roles Engage passive candidates and establish long-term talent relationships Support workforce planning initiatives for new clinic openings and market expansions Hiring Manager Partnership & Workforce Planning Collaborate with hiring managers, clinical leaders, and executives to understand staffing needs and priorities Provide guidance on job requirements, market conditions, and hiring strategies Facilitate structured interview processes and support effective hiring decisions Align recruiting efforts with business goals and operational demands Compliance, Credentialing & Regulatory Adherence Ensure all candidates meet licensing, certification, and credentialing requirements Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and employment laws (EEO, etc.) Partner with HR and credentialing teams to support onboarding and documentation processes Maintain accurate and audit-ready candidate records Systems, Reporting & Process Optimization Utilize applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruiting tools to manage candidate pipelines Track, analyze, and report on recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, quality of hire, pipeline health) Identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes, efficiency, and candidate experience Maintain organized documentation and data integrity across systems Employer Branding & Community Engagement Represent the organization at hiring events, job fairs, and community outreach initiatives Build relationships with local training programs, schools, and professional organizations Promote the organization's brand, culture, and career opportunities across multiple channels Support initiatives to reduce reliance on external staffing agencies through direct sourcing Candidate Experience & Relationship Management Deliver a high-quality, responsive, and professional candidate experience Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the hiring process Build trust and long-term relationships with clinical and professional talent Support candidate engagement and retention from offer through onboarding
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience:
5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably in healthcare or multi-site environments Experience recruiting for clinical healthcare roles (ophthalmology, ambulatory surgery, or specialty care preferred) Proven ability to manage high-volume requisitions while maintaining quality of hire Strong understanding of healthcare credentialing, compliance, and licensing requirements Experience recruiting for field leadership and corporate roles is strongly preferred Proficiency with ATS platforms (Paylocity), LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and other sourcing tools Ability to travel locally or regionally as needed to support clinic hiring and community engagement
Certification:
AIRS, SHRM, or PHR Certification preferred
Knowledge:
Knowledge of ophthalmology practice operations, including clinics, ambulatory surgery centers, and optical services Understanding of key clinical roles (ophthalmic technicians, opticians, nurses, scribes) and required certifications (COA, COT, COMT, RN/LPN) Familiarity with clinical credentialing, licensure verification, and healthcare onboarding requirements Expertise in full-cycle recruiting, including high-volume hiring and pipeline management Strong understanding of sourcing strategies across job boards, social media, referrals, and direct outreach Awareness of healthcare labor market trends, talent shortages, and competitive compensation practices Knowledge of employment laws and compliance standards (EEO, fair hiring practices, basic healthcare compliance) Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruiting tools, and data-driven recruiting metrics Understanding of workforce planning in a multi-site healthcare or clinic-based environment Business acumen—awareness of how recruiting impacts patient access, clinic performance, and organizational growth

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT
